Very informative and fun museum for kids and adults to learn about energy production now and throughout the year. The museum is in a former electricity plant and the setting contributes to the learning opportunity. Lots of information on the solar panels, tap water in Estonia, energy sources, and old style generators. Visitors can try their luck to turn on the light while cycling or using different methods. Very informative. The shows are also impressive with a large faraday cage. Some additional ear coverings for little ones could be useful (or to encourage adults to provide for children). The basement level has several toys to keep children engaged (Duplo, wooden train, hot wheels, ball drops, etc). Some exhibits were super useful to understand physics while some photo/ video montages linked to the skull were a bit out of place. All in together as of August 2025 most experiments work well. The little kids play room could use a deep cleaning or revamp entirely. Adults entrance fee is 15€. Planetarium not included - which seems to excessive. We...

I always loved Energia Museum. We visited the center years ago, right after renovation and now on 25.01.25. It felt very different at this time. Any of attractions with sound effects are very quiet. In one of the rooms they`ve put some toys (lego and how wheels) - kids were playing lounder than attractions.

Some of the attractions need to be renovated.

What we liked was new attraction for smaller children - electric cars. However, they may be discharged, plus be careful, as young drivers are not that experienced - crashes to be expected.

The movie at Planetarium is in Estonian only, the image is pretty pale, blurry and laggy, the sound is very weak - any whisper is louder than the video. The movie isnt that interesting.

Last but not least, huge drop shaped plastic lamps in the staircase... they are not properly fixed, there is some double sided tape underneath, but it is not sufficient. When we were leaving, all of the lamps fell from the staircase, luckily nobody...

Awesome place for both kids and adults. So many stuff to play with. Having a lot of interactive thing sis really a plus point. You can see how does a Tesla coil work and there is a tiny planetarium too. They announce before they start a show. Unfortunately it is delivered only in Estonian. Therefore, you many miss the show if you don't understand the local language. Wide range of practical scientific experiments in a compact place. Walking distance both from the old town and the harbour. Staff is also very nice and friendly. You have free of charge locker facilities if you want to leave your bags or stuff in there. I saw that many kids were having a real fun in this place. Also, adults even have so many things to learn. Especially for science enthusiasts at ANY age. Highly...

Extremely disappointing place. It was 4pm, 3 hours prior the closing time. And a half of the exhibition was blocked by a preparation of either a corporate event or a concert or I don't know what. I wasn't able to get any concrete explanation from the staff. Items were blocked by bags and flowers, there were waiters running around with boxes of glasses, musicians tuning their instruments and everybody was producing lots of noise. On the photos you can even see people setting up tables right on the playground for children. The exhibition itself is very poor. Many broken, closed or incomplete items. We've been in many different technical museums from Lisbon to Helsinki. This one in obviously the worst one.
