Depressing stay. We booked Metropol Spa for our wedding. Faculty was nice enough to let us into the room very early in the morning so I could bring our wedding clothing and accessories beforehand. That's about it for the positive. We then took off to hairdressers, makeup etc. The day before I called to the Hotels office. Since Annely, our first contact, was on vacation I called Eero, the reservations manager. We discussed that we would have no time to eat at home in the morning so maybe they could organise a snack plate in the room for the next morning around 11AM. He said it would be no problem. We arrived from our prep at 10:50 and by 11:10 there were no snacks, juice or coffee that was ordered to the room. So I called him again to which he said "Should be there" and promised to take care of it. 11:50 we were in our wedding clothes and ran out the hotel, hungry. Throughout the ceremony, photoshoots and generally our wedding day, all we could think about is savagely hurting stomachs and the dinner around 6PM. The latter was our first meal of the day.
On the day of booking I was offered cosying up the room to be a bit more romantic. I loved the idea. Yet on arrival all I found were SPA advertisements on the pillow. Clearly I have a very different view of "romantic".
As the party was gaining momentum I felt we will not make it home day after tomorrow so I called the reception to extend our stay by 1 more night. Reception told me the room is available, but it's upmost important that I would pay for it upon arrival from the party. She couldn't stress this enough that we'd need to pay immediately. Left me felt like a criminal. No trust what so ever.
Forget breakfast in bed. We got almost yelled at to even suggest such an outrageous thing. So my, by now wife, got out of bed on shaky legs and swollen eyes and went downstairs to grab us some breakfast.
The SPA is nice and had some redeeming features. After 2 days of partying the pools and saunas were rejuvenating. Up until the moment where we waited for Mojitos for over 30 minutes. At some point I saw the bartender run across the street to a restaurant for some reason.
At one point we ordered food from Bolt into the room, since none of the 3 restaurants, in the house, were operational by then, and even then I was called to come downstairs as they didn't want to let the courier upstairs. So the "24/7 room service" claim they have is very true...as long as you service yourself.
To top it all off, my letter to them has been ignored for 15 days by now.
It was our one day that everything was supposed to be perfect for us. It's ruined. Makes a good story for the...

The only question we asked her was if the room was quiet and she replied that it was. When we arrived, the room was spacious and away from the elevator, so it seemed quiet.
Our surprise was that on Saturday night we heard music so loud, also that the walls even vibrated. We waited a while, but at 23 pm the the party music followed, so I went down to reception and found that the party was in the own hotel. When I went to claim it at reception, they told me that they had the same problem every Saturday, because they always had a party.
I told them that I had requested a quiet room and that Julia affirmed upon my arrival that it was quiet, but they told me that all receptionists know that Saturday night they have noise and music until 2 am and Juia didn´t told the true about the noise. At that time they could not give me any solution, or change my room because they were complete, so we had to endure the noise.

Issues with our room upon arrival were quickly dealt with by Siret at reception. Our 4th time booking into the Metropol Spa was only disappointing during lunch when our waitress delivered cold coffee and laid down our bill before we had finished our meal. Spa Steam Room was out of service for several days, there was no music playing and the only time staff was available at the spa area was when the water jug needed filling.

Reservation for a top floor balcony room to accommodate a 4x night stay was made 1x month in advance. Upon arrival we were informed no balcony rooms were available but our receptionist allocated us a room with a view over Old Town to the rear of the hotel. In entering the room, noise could be heard above the bed which we presumed was the air-conditioning. Because we had a busy schedule it meant we arrived back to the Metro Spa Hotel late in the evening. It was on our last night we complained to reception as the noise was persistent and appeared to be from multiple pipes above the bed.
22:20 security arrived and checked the room after which we were offered an alternative room but declined as it would mean another late night with poor sleep so we used earlier plugs once again.
When checking out our receptionist advised we complain to the hotel in writing as we were going to book an additional night before departing home later in the week. During breakfast I took time, compiled and submitted an email to the hotel of which management replied promptly. It was clear from their reply they couldn't care less, advised we should have paid extra for a balcony room and that we should have made staff aware sooner regarding the faults encountered. This would not have been an issue had we not stayed on the top floor balcony rooms on prior occasions over 10+ years.
Management at the Metropol Spa Hotel clearly lacks empathy and have zero respect for loyal customers.
In the end, we booked into a 5* hotel in Tallin which we shall...
