Cons: It's very cramped even for 3 people, much less for 4. The room itself is tiny, making it difficult to move around when everyone is inside. There is insufficient storage space for belongings and not enough space to dry all clothes at the end of the day. It is impossible to move around in the "bedroom" when you’re not alone, and there's only about 10cm of space between the beds The room was dirty, the bed linen was also dirty (stains, hair, dirt). There was no cleaning at all during the week Unpleasant odours in the room: a constant musty smell in the room, a sewage smell from the sink, a staleness smell from the bed linen, and a dreadful smell from the dishwasher which wasn’t fixed even after several empty washings Issues with key cards: sometimes they suddenly stop working, and it takes time for the staff to resolve the problem. Also, only one key for the ski room is provided for everyone The ski room is cramped, 4 sets of skis or 3 snowboards will hardly fit. No ski boot dryers Constant noise outside the window at night Poor internet quality: connection issues in the "bedroom" and during the evening The room heater works strangely: either too hot or not heating at all, regardless of intermediate temperature settings Reception does not operate at night on weekdays Lack of toiletries: no soap and shampoo/gel for the shower
Pros: Amazing view from the window Very convenient location: slope access nearby, as well as, ski passes sell point, rentals (Intersport is even in the same building), and SPAR. You can come directly to the ski room from the slopes and reach the hotel from below via the Cairn lift Plenty...
Read moreHaving looked at the reviews before arriving I was pretty optimistic with my expectations. However I can say we were more than happy with the location of the accomodation and the ability to ski in and ski out (once you work out how to do that) We were on the 5th floor and had a two bedroomed apartment (with two additional sofa beds). Having two bathrooms was valuable and although compact and bijou the apartment did everything we needed it to do. We rarely had to queue for the lifts and opted to take the stairs as much as possible. Having the intersport shop based there was such a bonus and enabled us to collect all our gear as soon as we arrived. We didn't need to have any heating on in the apartment, it was a perfect temperature and the showers weren't any issue for us either. My only small critisism would be having to empty the bins ourselves as no one serviced our rooms at all for the full week we were there. Clean towels and bins emptied would have been nice. One huge plus for us was the bakery just a few metres up the road, we made full use of that every morning and it was fabulous! The location of Residence le Cheval Blanc is excellent for the slopes and I would consider staying here when we return to...
Read moreReally Disappointing stay.
Room: • Not well maintained. Lots of cracks. Vent in the toilet was broken, the shower glass was broken. • Super small. We could barely fit inside it. • The kitchen smelled horrible. I didn't want to use any appliance. The stench stuck to all the mugs inside the cupboard and I had to boil and wash each by hand to remove it. • Dishwasher smelled like rot. • The wifi was bad and disconnected often. Not all people in the room could use it simultaneously because there was a maximum number of users lower than the room size. • Not enough storage space. • At the end of the stay we had to clean the kitchen ourselves, wash the kitchenware, pile the towels and take out the trash. • Towels were clean but smelled bad.
Ski Room: • It was very crammed and there was barely enough room to sit or stand. • Lockers were tiny as well. Not big enough for all room members and it resulted in piling stuff and getting our shoes wet. • The lockers were locked with a pin code which was good.
Location: • The location was great. It was really central and close to almost everything.
Food: • No breakfast in the...
