Well organized and renovated apartment, small but tidy and with a lot of storage space for a group of 4. Functional kitchen for preparing some easy meals. The spa was closed and there’s no direct access by elevator to the ski room. Considering all the negative reviews, we were nicely surprised by how the apartment is. However, staffs at the reception have made our staying VERY VERY unpleasant, they aren't not well trained at all : I called the day before arrival to ask where we can park the car, the receptionist said that Pierre Vacances provides paid parking lot for 15e a day so 30e for our weekend. Upon arrival, another receptionist confirmed the same information: 30e for 2 days. However, when we checked out on Sunday morning and expect to leave the car in the parking lot until our departure in the afternoon, the chef of reception said quite rudely : no you cant, what you paid for the parking is per night not per day, if you want to stay the whole day today, please pay 15e And they did the same thing to another guest, he was also very upset. Eventually the director agreed to not charge to charge us and make sure to inform all the receptionists in the future.
The receptionist gave us a paper and said : here you can find your parking lot number. All seems to be simple right? She didn't mention that there are different levels with the same number in that parking complex !!! Instead of going to the number 303 on the 3rd basement floor, we parked at number 303 of the 3rd floor, which belongs to a real estate agent. He locked our car and asked us to pay him 60 euros, what a scam! We argued for an hour and eventually called the police to sort it out. The ironic thing is, when we checked out, the receptionist asked me what's the number of our parking lot so she can let me pay the extra, I said: 303. And when she asked if it's +303 or -303, I told her that I didnt know, but we went up stairs . Then she checked her sheet and said: ok it's -303. She knew that we were not at the right parking lot but didn't tell us !!!
3.There's no luggage storage room so good luck if you want to ski on your check out day but don’t have a car
We asked for a late checkout with an extra charge, the receptionist sait it’s not possible. When we went back to sort out the parking issue at 4pm, another group of guests just checked out…
We will never go back...

Immediately after completing the reservation and paying for it, when it had said there is no option for cancellations, we received an email from the hosts saying that the stay does not include bed linen and towels and if we would like to add one or/and the other there is an additional fee. When we arrived at the hotel, we realized that this apartment building combines several different hosts. There was no wireless internet, and the hotel did not have a spa of its own, as suggested in the photos and from its name (they claim it was under renovation and don’t have all the information about it since it does not belong to them). So the main reason we booked the hotel was because of the spa we thought existed there. Unfortunately, after the disappointment of not having a spa within the residence, we could not find a spa in town that could accommodate us for a fee, and we had to drive to the nearest town - Les Moniers. When we asked the hosts to help us find an alternative to the situation, they disclaimed responsibility and said the spa was not related to them and did not include the spa when putting a price on the stay. Although the name they publish is explicitly Residence & Spa Le Machu Picchu, as stated before, this is how the understanding emerges from their name and photos on all sales websites. In addition to the room, there was dirt of the tenants that were in the room before us, bins full of garbage, packages of used contact lenses, heating bags that had already hardened from the time they were used, wipes and toilet paper under the mattresses, used corona (COVID-19) masks, and cigarette filters on the balcony… In addition, the place has no organized reception or physical, personal contact. You can only communicate via phone or email, making things more difficult. For example, when trying to approach them and complain about the situation, we were directed to do so in front of hotels.com. It was so bad at some point that we left the place two days before what we...
Read moreThe problem is that you can't sleep.
If you like sleep this hotel is not for you. Very poor sound insulation and the corridor is designed such that all shouting guests walking to their rooms can be heard by anyone sleeping.
I have been kept awake every night since I arrived to 2 or 3 in the morning.
Only suitable for students who stay awake all night at the moment. Not suitable for families.
The staff try to control the noise but the hotel attracts inconsiderate clientele. Val Thorens attracts a young crowd so many of the hotels have this problem.
The noisy few are able to ruin it for everyone. The management need to act harder if they want to seriously solve this.
I like this hotel for the location and the rooms but unfortunately the noise from inconsiderate guests is ruining it for all decent people.
I don't think I could book this hotel again unfortunately.
Management : You need to be stricter with noise if you want to avoid bad reviews. Everyone in the hotel we spoke to complained about the noise. You need to think how you might solve this problem unless you want to be a youth hostel for drunk students. Perhaps that business model works. It's just not good for certain clientele who enjoy quiet when sleeping.
Instruct security to educate all late nighters walking in the hotel after drinking. Educate guests on arrival about the need for quiet after 11pm. Place signs in the rooms to educate noisy guests about the noise policy. inform guests about the security guards who can visit noisy guests. Take higher deposits from younger groups with noise conditions. Signs in corridors. A culture change to encourage certain guests to respect other guests right to peaceful enjoyment.
Unless you do something your reviews are going to continue...
