Exceptional Stay at Appart'hôtel l'Aiguille Verte, Chamonix
Nestled in the heart of Chamonix, the Appart'hôtel l'Aiguille Verte proved to be an extraordinary retreat during our recent visit. Its prime location merely a 5-minute walk from the town's bustling main strip allowed us easy access to all the local attractions and amenities.
Upon arrival, we were instantly enamored by the modern and tastefully decorated apartment. Our mezzanine room (room number 7) was a delightful surprise, featuring ample space and thoughtful amenities tailored for ski enthusiasts. The dedicated storage area for ski equipment, complete with ski/snowboard boot heaters, was an absolute game-changer, ensuring our gear was not only secure but also perfectly prepped for the slopes.
A true gem of our stay was Fabian, the exceptional concierge, whose warmth and professionalism left an indelible mark on our experience. From the moment we stepped foot in the accommodation, Fabian's genuine politeness and friendliness set the tone. He not only warmly welcomed us but also took the time to guide us to our room, offering invaluable recommendations for ski slopes, restaurants, and even the local bus routes. His exceptional hospitality extended to arranging a delightful breakfast delivery each morning, adding a touch of convenience and charm to our stay. Fabian's commitment to ensuring our comfort and enjoyment truly elevated our experience and underscored his invaluable contribution to the accommodation's reputation.
The convenience of the location was further highlighted by its proximity to the Brévent ski resort, merely a 7-8 minute bus journey away. The frequent 30-minute bus schedule to and from the resort made our ski adventures seamless and hassle-free. Even with our 7-month-old baby in tow, the accommodation and its surroundings were accommodating, catering to our needs with ease.
The pièce de résistance, however, was the breathtaking views from our room, offering an unparalleled panorama of the surrounding beauty. This visual treat added an extra layer of enchantment to our stay, making it truly unforgettable.
In summation, our 4-night stay at Appart'hôtel l'Aiguille Verte was a delightful journey filled with comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. For anyone seeking a harmonious blend of modern amenities, impeccable service, and a prime location in Chamonix, I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation for an...
Read moreWhen we arrived at 4pm after a days ski, our 2 rooms were not ready, so we were offered the use of the Spa and Sauna until the rooms were ready which suited us just fine. We parked up outside in off road spaces, I think there were enough spaces for 6 cars.||The manager met us with 2 keys and apologised which was no trouble.||We moved up to our rooms which were tidy and did us a service for a night although expensive for what we got. ||We had a double bed and our son slept on the sofa bed which was really comfortable, not too dissimilar to a real double bed.||Both the dining area and the bedroom had a flat screen with most channels including UK terrestrial.||We had completed a shop so we could have breakfast in the morning and headed into town for dinner and had no problems finding a restaurant. The walk was about 10 minutes, was no issues.||Unfortunately we were very dissatisfied to find next morning no breakfast bowls, no Frying pan and a dirty microwave size oven. We were also missing a toaster which we had already spoken to the manager about and thought we would use the grill in the oven (no grill in the oven!) ||This meant we had to drop the cooking idea and check out and go into town to eat whilst disposing of our fry up food which cost us some time for the next days ski (gutted)! This is why I unfortunately give 3 stars as I ended up further out of pocket.||As we had a ground room, we could hear a lot of noise in and out in the morning. I got talking to a few other lads the next day outside asking if I knew the code for the lockup, it later turned out the lock was put on later in the evening whilst 1 of the lads had his boots taken, he wasn't happy to say the least.||I would like to hope these are one off's as it was perfect otherwise ... if that...
Read moreWe had a great stay at Aiguille Verte (4 nights). Small self catering apartments in a traditional old building, all renovated. Very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. We were in "Aiguille du Midi" apartment, suitable for 4 people, 1 double room, and our teenage kids in sofa bed in the lounge. Great views from balcony. Fabien was the perfect host. So friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure we were having a good stay. Due to delays at the airport we arrived after 8pm and outside standard opening times of the reception, but it was no issue and sorted by one phone call to pre-warn. Fabien said he would see us in anyway to hand the keys. |He gave us lots of good tips re-buses, ski lifts, local restaurants etc.|Beds were made when we arrived and towels provided. |Toiletries very basic so best to bring soap/shower gel etc.|Tablets for dishwasher provided.|Ski room downstairs. |Hot tub/spa room : slot has to be booked in advance|A small parking outside with a dedicated space per apartment.|They have a breakfast delivery service (orders for croissants etc taken the day before) / we didn't try it.|A few minutes walk to a ski hire shop and bus stop.|About 5-10 minutes walk to the town centre (a very short portion of the road is very narrow and didn't feel very safe). |Our Apartment (1st floor) was facing the main road, a little bit...
