Mountain Drop-offs — Local services in Bonneville

With out a doubt the best transfer service to/from the Geneva airport! I live in Chamonix and use airport transfer services every month. I have tried every company and Mountain Drop-offs is the best one, by far! They really go the extra length to help their customers. Most of the times you could have an ok experience with the other companies when everything works out as it should, even if you have to put up with a sour driver and a badly organized pick-up. But when things go wrong with your airport transfer, things REALLY go wrong and you thank Jesus (or whoever) that you chose a company that goes that extra length to make your life easier. For example, last year I had a confirmed reservation and had paid for a transfer with another company (Alpy Buss), but the called and cancelled the transfer some 20 hours before departure because not enough customers had booked with them to make their trip profitable. This was a huge problem for me as I was on the mountain in a hut when they called and I couldn't use my last phone batteries to call around to the other companies to see if they had spare places this short in advance. Another time, last December there was a snowstorm (which by the way is not unusual in the alps) and Cham express (one of the other companies) had me stand outside in the snowstorm for 2,5 hours to wait for the transfer and I almost missed my flight. They couldn't even give me an accurate pick-up time-estimate when I called them. So my fingers and toes were frozen stiff by the time they arrived and it took me 7 hours to fully recover from the extreme cooling of my body. Compare this level of servie with Moutain Drop-offs who when they learnt that I had forgotten my passport at home got a co-worker to come out from the office to help me retrieve my passport with minimal delay for the other passengers in my van. Go with Mountain Drop-offs, don't risk destroying your vacation because of problems getting to/from...

Excellent experience. GVA 28/12 Chamonix GVA 1/1. Booked Mountain Drop-offs after searching for info on the big company buses or bus/vans combo that get advertised and figuring the small bit extra for single ride and more flexible service was well worth it. Many flights were getting delayed into GVA due to fog throughout the day, causing rolling delays to later flights. My flight was delayed 1.5 hrs and multiple people in the immigration queue were asking to jump as they would miss their set schedule buses, but MDO had said they were tracking my flight. Regardless I was still nervous when bags were delayed on getting to the baggage claim, although no one was pinging me asking where I was. I found the stand easily and only had a short wait until another couple people showed up. On return to GVA the shuttle was only 10 minutes late, yet dispatch called me to let me know. Only negative was the van was completely full and I was the 2nd from last pickup so I ended up wedged into middle front seat with my backpack between my feet. I wish I had been informed there would be another pickup after me and I'd get bumped from the passenger seat so I could put my backpack in the back as I could not move and it was a bit uncomfortable for over an hour. What can I say about this service. We have just spent 5 days in chamonix and needed a transfer from Geneva airport to chamonix both ways. I failed to book the day before departure due to many reasons. I then tried to book online (after business hours) but was informed that I had to call to arrange a transfer. Panicking I called and was assured they would do all they could to get us picked up after our flight the next day and they fit us in. The telephone staff member was amazing and really helpful. We received a whole host of info after booking on where to meet etc and by who. (Including text messages saying who our driver will be with the mobile number. We were literally sitting on the mini bus within 15 minutes from landing. Our driver was polite, courteous and informative throughout the whole process. We arrived in chamonix 1.5 hours later as planned. Pre our return journey, we were sent an email and text saying our driver would be with us by 12.10. We were literally loading up by 12.10 on the dot.

This company is outstanding. I have had many transfers from Geneva to Chamonix but this company is by far the best service I have ever had for a transfer. If you are looking to book.
