Management service take a very bold move to give me back all of the expenses. From one-star service to five-star service. They are fully known that they are working in service industry, so one bad experience from client will ruined their business. MY REVIEW BEFORE ALIX HELP ME
My experience at Hotel Le Faucigny in Chamonix was an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to warn others about their shockingly poor service. It’s baffling that a business operating in the hospitality sector could treat its customers—who quite literally keep them in business—with such unprofessionalism and utter disregard.
First of all, their response time to emails is outrageously slow. I reached out multiple times to clarify a simple question about whether it would be possible to cancel my reservation without penalties. Instead of a straightforward answer, they took it upon themselves to cancel my booking entirely—without my permission! This kind of behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disrespectful.
But the nightmare didn’t end there. After traveling for hours and arriving at the hotel at 11 PM, exhausted and ready to rest, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. I was left with no room, no support, and no options late at night in a foreign country. The level of stress and frustration I experienced was unimaginable.
How can a hotel, a place meant to provide comfort and shelter, treat its guests like this? It’s unbelievable that they operate in the service industry but seem to have no understanding of how to professionally handle the people who keep their business alive. Their incompetence and lack of basic respect for their customers are appalling.
If they can’t manage to provide even the most basic level of customer service, they have no business being in the hospitality industry. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs unless you want to risk being stranded and treated with utter indifference. Read moreReally not the best experience at all with this hotel, booked a family room as that's all that was available and the room was about 5 meters ( 15 feet) from a very busy industrial parking lot with dumpsters, forklifts, semi trucks and numerous workers all making the required noise of an industrial site. The hotel states this is temporary (looks permanent to me) but I feel they should either inform people on reservation or simply not rent the room during this period.
Other guests complained of the noise problem as well since you could not sleep, watch a show, speak on the phone or speak to another person in your room due to noise.
After first night the hotel did refund for the remaining nights and we relocated to a quite frankly better hotel at the same price.
Other than noise problems the hotel is clean and comfortable and the family rooms are well designed.
The check in process was ok but the deak attendant was quite a bit snobbier than this property warrants and again informing me that work would start bright and early outside my window would have been welcome information.
