Chalet 4810 — Restaurant in Bonneville

If you are wanting a huge selection of pastries and other desserts that are not only beautiful, but incredibly delicious, Chalet 4810 is the place for you. We walked by a couple times admiring the cases of beautiful foods in the windows before deciding to try them out. The were just as tasty as they were attractive. Their Macarons were done perfectly- light but flaky shell, with a delightful creamy center. The flavors were bold and crisp (at least the hazelnut, blueberry, and white chocolate/coconut). I also got a piece of flan to take back to our hotel. It was also very well done, but unlike Spanish flan, theirs has a thin "crust" on the bottom and sides, and seemed to be more akin to a crème brûlée. Regardless, the flavor was amazing. Saw the window displays in this Cafe/Bakery from the Ski Bus window as the bus passed by in the morning. Went back as soon as possible! Delectable selections of sweet treats, fresh bread, fruit drinks, and excellent coffee. The staff are very nice and were friendly. One also was fluent in English and more than happy to speak it with me, which is very much appreciated if one is able… to help communicate. I enjoyed a Cafe Americano and two cakes… both were delicious! There is a seating area on the second floor, and two tables on the first floor. There is a toilet. What a lovely, cosy café!

You can sit inside or outside, at the entrance downstairs or upstairs, so there are plenty of different seating areas, each with their own atmosphere.

Although their specialty are pastries and chocolates, there is a selection of a few savoury items. We had a couple of quiches with a side salad, perfect for a light lunch!

They have a great tea selection, all loose leaf, we tried the white tea and breaksfast.
