Other than the view there I struggle to find anything positive to say about this hotel.|We arrived and were checked in at what can only be described as a table with a laptop on it.|We were given our key card and off we went to our room . Our dark dingy dusty room with an open plan bathroom. The room is orange and black the toilet is in the bedroom area and the bathroom is only separated by a mirror above a sink. |The website says you get an iron. No you don’t , it says you get mineral water in the room. No you don’t you get a bottle on a shelf and a space outside the room where there should be a water bar, it says you get double glazing mmmmm if that’s the case why could we hear the staff going outside for a cigarette every hour under our balcony with the patio door shut. It says opening windows we did not have any windows. It says you get a balcony well we got a tiny triangle of space. The photos are clearly a mix of all of the rooms, as are the descriptions. |The temperature controlled air conditioning is a loose description of what you get it’s a very noisy cold air blower that switches itself off at certain times and is very dusty.|The wardrobe is a skeleton with a metal draw that you struggle to open.|The walls are paper thin you can hear talking snoring and flushing of the toilet even moving hangers on the “ wardrobe “ rail from the other rooms. |If someone flushes the chain above you hear it gurgle through the shower drain. Then you get the smell that lingers. |The room has not had a deep clean for a very long time the lights are dusty the rain shower is so covered in limescale I tried to clean it off but no way was that shifting I think even viakal would struggle.|The breakfast is ok there is choice but I don’t know how anyone with a dairy or a gluten allergy or a vegan or vegetarian would cope yes there is a carton of almond and a carton of soya milk but that’s where it ends. |The pool is great but it’s a no go if you have a disability the lift gets you to level 3 the pool floor except it’s not you go through the door and are met by a flight of stairs. Although there is a disabled toilet if a disabled person does gets up there. |The rooftop terrace again a lift to floor 4 but stairs to floor 5 the terrace floor.|The restaurant is closed on a Sunday and Monday. !!! |This is down as a 4 star hotel ?!? |We have stayed in many all Accor hotels including formula 1, ibis, ibis styles, adagio and Novotel. |This is by far the worst we have stayed in.|Yes the view is beautiful but not enough to allow all the failings this hotel has. |I would say 1 night would be ok as a stop over but 7 was...
Read moreThe rooms while looking nice are riddled with dust and seems that they dont change the sheets only the towels, i saw the room service cart and it only had towels no replacementbed sheets or pillows, but maybe they have multiple carts to do one job, the toilet room seems like it used to be a closet that they jus put a toilet in, if u are a bigger person u literally have to back into the toilet room cause there is no room to turn around, I hit my arm and legs multiple times while using the toilet, the shower is in a separate room, and it barely usable you'd get a better wash by jumping into the nearby river, since the shower head constantly moves around while it's on, the air conditioning turns off at random intervals and you would have to press the buttons multiple times jus for it to register, and we booked a room with a view of the castle, but you have to lean half your body off the railing in order to get a somewhat view, and the restaurant is ridiculously priced we ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses, and it took 30 mins to get the starters, and another 45 mins after that to get the main corse, and even tho I ordered my burger to be cooked medium it seems they didn't really care since the inside was still raw and the outside was berraly cooked, then we asked for the bill only to find out it costed 100 euro, about $155 (which is about the same price as a room) jus for a 2 course meal, it was ridiculous I've never paid this much for food in my life and some of the worst food I've had in France. plus the walls are paper thin you can hear people talking and all the footsteps, you can even hear people moving the coat hangers in there rooms, they also are severely understaffed there's one lady down stairs constantly running between the check in desk and the bar, and the reception. I feel bad for the people staying here, and for the people working here
This hotel is truly a shame to France, the only good thing about the hotel is the fact that ur only 15 mins away from the castle which has much better food for much cheaper, for a 2 course meal in the catsle it only cost about 70 euro, I would not recommend this hotel there are 3 other hotels right beside it and I'd hope they are somewhat better then this I'd hope more from a...
Read moreAwful experience. We just got a room on the ground floor which is literally a whole wall = window to the street, half way down like a basement. A person is sitting on that window from the side of the street, and she can clearly see us if we open the curtain! (Checked that later from the street!) You can hear EVERYTHING! All the people sitting/passing talking loud or not (as you are separated just by a glass from one of the most touristic corners of the city where the bridge begins and a not very nice singing lady sings same songs for 3+ hrs), people passing by with suitcases, busses, all cars and motorbikes every other minute... incredible level of noice! the AC works on its own on and off all the time, running water sound inside the wall just by the entrance door next to the bed that is actually toilet flushing upstairs!! Feels like they are flushing just over you - full feeling you are in a freaking basement. I don't remember when I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable! The entrance to the room is in the back door of the bar... how can that be 4 stars I have no idea!! It feels like the worst room of the youth hostel... The bed is insanely high, higher than in US which is nowhere common to Europe. I have some back problem right now and it's extremely uncomfortable! Pillows hards and uncomfortable, bed itself is rather small. No fridge... We've kindly asked to exchange the room but been told with zero visible compassion or apology that they are fully booked and even for extra money can't give us anything else.....
