Good food, good service and friendly staff. We decided to have both the starter and mains special of the day both were excellent. Our starter was an excellent salad, our main course was pork cooked on the rib with onion and mushroom along with fries, pork was really succulent, we finished our meal with tarte tatin as French a desert as you can get. Finished off with coffee and local Carcassonne liqueur creme de menthe, liquid after eight, all this for around €40, if we return to Carcassonne we'll be happy to...

Visited in the last hour as arrived late to Carcassonne. Wanted to taste the local specialty - cassoulete - and it was amazing! I must say i was very hungry, but it was huge and i couldn't finish it...but tried. Specially tasty was a duck leg confit, and also Toulouse sausage and pieces of pork. Again, just this meat was too much for me, be i eat it all in the end. With glass of red wine recommended by waited i was very satisfied...

Per fer-ho fàcil: vam anar al lloc que oferís un menú més barat i que semblés que podia tenir alguna opció sense gluten. Ho vam aconseguir, ja que vam sortir d'allà havent pagat 34€ per dues persones i sense haver menjat gluten.

Ara bé: el servei del cambrer, que diria força que n'era el propietari, deixava molt a desitjar i honorava als estereotips que es tenen dels francesos. Tot allò que a una escola d'hosteleria (o el sentit comú d'algú amb empatia i tracte cordial) t'ensenyarien, ell va fer el contrari. L'amanida del menú venia amb un formatge de cabra arrebossat i per tant, com que porta gluten, li vam demanar que fós o amb un altre formatge o sense formatge. "El menú és el menú", va ser la seva resposta. Vam haver d'agafar una crema de carbassa.

Com a complement de la fantàstica vetllada, teniem el gos de l'amo passejant-se pel local, asseient-se a contemplar con menjavem i esperant a que caigués alguna coseta per ell. No baixis les mans de la taula, perquè te la lleparà. En qualsevol cas, m'agradaria remarcar que aquí la culpa no la tenia el gos.

Finalment parlar dels plats. Com he dit, soc conscient d'haver anat a la opció més barata -no demanis peres a l'om, que dirien en castellà-. Malgrat tot, eren plats bons de gust, però pre-preparats.
