This place isn't just about incredible value. It's also about the amazing quality of the food and warmth of the owners. Yes, €35 for seven courses and €4 for a decent glass of wine is basically unheard of in France in 2025 but the quality is really up there too. This is a very talented partnership!

I also wanted to make a real point of how amazing it was not to be made to feel second place/sub priority as not only a solo diner but also a vegetarian. Often in higher end restaurants offering taster menus, I find there are little hidden supplements for both of these but it was so nice to just be treated as a 'regular diner'. I was made to feel exceptionally welcome.

I must also mention the very creative and delicious vegetarian alternatives (fennel bacon, yum!), all done at the last minute as I squeezed in on the day with just a few hours notice.

This is how a restaurant should be run!! A very very special place. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, I doubt you'll find a better...

From the moment we called Agape to book in for dinner, we knew we were in for something special. We managed to bag the last table for that evening’s seven-course tasting menu. On arrival at the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and offered aperitifs. The menu was amazing, and they made adjustments anywhere required to allow for my wife's pregnancy. From cooking her serving of pork for extra time, to switching charcuterie garnishes to cheese, they thought of everything. The chef, a former barman and partner to the hostess, offered prepared a delicious Shirley Temple at the end of the evening, and the couple were just so lovely throughout. They were so kind to every group, and really looked after us all. We left feeling really nourished from great food and conversation. A must-visit in Carcassonne, this restaurant really warrants the many...

We really enjoyed our experience at Agape. The service was excellent—both personal and attentive, with staff who were knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. The food was delightful: light, fresh dishes that arrived with a sense of excitement, as we never quite knew what creative surprise might come out of the kitchen next.

Highlights of the evening included the gazpacho, which was wonderfully clean and fresh, served with a unique twist on the side. The duck was beautifully cooked and paired with a gorgeous sauce, and the panna cotta was outstanding. Each dish had its own inventive touch, making the whole meal memorable.

We look forward...

Delicious! You must go! It’s a small restaurant that’s only open Monday to Friday, but what a treat. Book a table as it’s very popular. I think this was the best meal I’ve ever had in France. Fabulous quality in-season local ingredients cooked with love. Each of the seven dishes on the dining “journey” is explained in detail (they speak very good English). We booked to eat again at the end of our meal it was so good. Everyone arrives between 7 and 7:30pm and you all eat the same meal. Each course was creative and delicious and not food I would usually order on a menu so fabulously surprising! Just go!
