This was a letdown considering the other reviews. We were seated quickly (we had a reservation). The service was friendly. The wine was average, but placed in a recycled “ice” bucket filled with room temperature water, so the wine warmed quickly. I was looking forward to the moules frites menu that I had seen online, but that wasn’t offered. My initial order was unavailable, I learned 30 minutes after ordering. Instead I was offered the prawns, which were overcooked, flavorless, and served with unseasoned lettuce and unappealing “guacamole”. My husband ordered the beef, which was underwhelming and accompanied by what was advertised as dauphenoise potatoes but was more accurately au gratin. Maybe we would have had better luck earlier in the evening’s service, but I would have preferred to be turned away rather than pay for the subpar food that we received. I would...

Restaurant specialties from Aquitaine. The menu offers a lot of meat and fish dishes but nothing for vegetarians/vegans which is a shame. I had the tuna tartare to start which was fantastic. The steak with gratin dauphinois for main was a bit disappointing, steak was a bit chewy and the gratin wasn’t too tasty. For dessert the tarte tatin was served in a strange way, it was good but unusual. The waiter on duty was friendly and took good care of us, often making jokes and chatting with us. Spent 100€ per person with a decent amount of drinks.

Overall it was a nice meal but I wouldn’t go again, think there are better...

This restaurant was near apartment I rented. One night I decided to read the menu (just to understand if there was something interesting for me), at this moment came a waiter greeted me, I replied and then he talked in French and as don’t understand French I said that I’m just reading the menu for the next time. He mumbled something. This was an awkward moment 😬 Later before going to pyrotechnics festival with my friends I had a dinner here. And the food was delicious. They didn’t have Bisque with lobster so I ordered entrecôte. Even I like my food to be more hot but it was very good and very balanced in taste.

Had a nice evening at Le Bistrot Marceau. The menu offers a good selection, and the portion sizes were satisfying. The meat was excellent, but some dishes could have used a bit more seasoning and depth. The soup, in particular, was quite thin and could have benefited from a richer texture. What really stood out was the lovely atmosphere with live jazz music, which made the evening special. The service was also great – our waiter was extremely kind and put a lot of effort into making us feel welcome.
