Where do I start||Cons||Relentless about 11 am checkout time... I want to start by saying I had every intention of complying with this 11 AM check out time. The hotel is extremely relentless and annoying with reminders about the 11 AM check out… There was a letter in the room reminding of the 11 AM check out, a business card in the room also citing the 11 AM check out time , I was followed up the stairs by the front desk personnel my last night reminding me of the 11 AM check out time, when I came down to go out and get my coffee at 9 AM on the day of my departure I was ask if I was checking out (clearly I had no luggage in hand), I received a knock on the door during the morning reminding me of the check out time and a call at 10:45 am inquiring about me departure to time... needless to say it was ridiculously annoying and overkill… I have never experienced this at any other hotel around the world. If the checkout time is 11 AM, I check out promptly on time.||Also annoying was the fact that the front desk personnel forgot to return my passport at checkin and I noticed they had the passport of the client before me in the copy machine as well.||The room was very small which would not have been such a big issue if it had not been for all of other annoying factors at this hotel||The stairway is extremely narrow and difficult to navigate. This is important because the elevator is highly undesirable due to its VERY small size. ||I so wanted to love this hotel after reading the reviews, but I am actually shocked by those reviews after my experience.||The front desk staff are intrusive. I didn’t particularly want to leave my keys when I went out and they pretty much insisted that I leave them at the front desk||The smell in both the hallway and the room was overpoweringly unpleasant which I kept trying to overlook.||I am inclined in part to write this review because I moved to a hotel within a close proximity with a similar rating and had a much better experience. I ended up staying at the new hotel...
Read moreVery clean, nice little hotel. Rooms are freshly remodeled, a/c works well, comfortable beds, very friendly staff, mini fridge, free bottles of water. I see some older reviews referred to noise from pub next door. The windows must have been replaced as I heard nothing while I was there for 3 nights unless I opened the windows which was just to look at the street for a few minutes. Completely satisfied with my stay, sleeping, etc.||||Great historical section of Cannes along the waterfront/beach/Festival area. Narrow one way streets, beautiful old buildings, many many shops, bars, restaurants. Wonderful for walking, exploring. I wouldn't have a car here as far as parking. Obviously there Must be off street parking but it's not obvious and I didn't pay attention not having a car. I used ride share for longer distances. Very easy to get a ride.||||The hotel is a short walk from the train station ($22 and 90 min to Italy. Go for lunch and on way back stop in Monaco for a look see. You hang on to your ticket and it is good for on and off in the trip.) The buses also stop at train station.||||Rooms are European, small but nothing unusual. My room had 2 queen beds. I like that so I can have my suitcase open on one. I'm a generously proportioned fellow and found the size of the room more than adequate.||||Free wifi with a good signal. Free. That is uncommon in France in my experience so I considered it a great bonus.||||Room rates are very reasonable.||||I...
Read moreGreat staff and the owner seems to be on site most of the time. She makes sure you are well taken care of and their staff really goes out the extra mile. They even took us to a parking nearby that had the best rate in Cannes 7€ a day. Rooms where clean and well equipped! The AC was a saver as Cannes was around 90F and humid. Great meal recommendation from the front desk. All in all a great stay! Our room was quiet although some friends that traveled with us did complain about noise from the street. It is expected as it is right in the middle of everything and there is a...
