If you’re around in Paris looking for an Italian restaurant to eat at, I would highly recommend to NOT eat here. Ever.
My girlfriend and I were on the lookout for Pizza. The place looked cozy, yes I‘ll give them that. But my god, you people are getting scammed here by the second you sit down.
We ordered: 2 Aperol Spritz 1 Bruschetta with Tomatoes 2 Pizzas
We saw these ambitious and ridiculous prices of 21,5€ for an „M“ Aperitif, so we thought we might as well just go with the 16€ option, because we wanted a smaller drink anyway.
The waiter gave us an OK and told us he’ll get us a normal one because there are two sizes: Normal and Large.
So far so good I guess.
The drinks came and we got 2x 0.5l glasses with Aperol Spritz. First we thought: Oh great, 16€ for that sounds good, but I thought it was kinda weird, because that’s not how Aperol Spritz is normally served, so we kindly asked the waiter what size this is.
He told us it’s Medium. Confused, we asked why he brought us the big ones because we said we wanted „normal“.
His answer was, this is normal since the S option is only available for Lunch and not for dinner.
Funny enough, NONE of what he said was written down in the menu whatsoever. So we asked again: Is that the 21,5€ option we have in front of us? He said: Yes.
Not only does he not know what he is actually serving us, but he did not tell us the truth either.
On top of that that Bruschetta might be the worst I’ve had in my life. It was literally Pizza dough, small tomatoes sliced in half, 2x Burratas?? (for whatever reason) and Pesto?? What kind of Bruschetta is that?
We were so done. We said cancel everything, take the Aperol back and cancel the pizzas we don’t want to eat at this place anymore. He was mumbling and talking about stuff which we didn’t understand, only after a few times he would actually tell us that he’s gonna do what we asked him for.
I payed 10,50€ for that horrendous Bruschetta and he was unfathomably unfriendly and insulted us in French when we left.
Never, ever, ever go visit this place. Worst experience in Paris...

I had yesterday the misfortune of dining at La Casa di Alfio, an establishment that masquerades as an Italian restaurant but has absolutely nothing in common with authentic Italian cuisine. This place is an absolute travesty, and I urge anyone considering a visit to think twice.
Let's start with the pizza. The portion size was laughably small, more suitable for a child's meal than an adult's. The dough was dense and flavorless, the toppings were sparse and of poor quality, and the overall taste was a far cry from any Italian pizza I have ever had. It was clear that no care or expertise went into its preparation.
To add insult to injury, the wine we ordered was grossly overpriced. We requested two small glasses, but when the bill arrived, we were charged for two large glasses. As if that wasn't enough, we were also billed for a bottle of water that we never ordered. This bottle was already on the table when we arrived and wasn’t even sealed. When we questioned the €7 charge for this so-called mineral water, the waiter had the audacity to insist that we had consumed it and therefore had to pay for it.
Our attempts to resolve the issue were met with hostility. Despite agreeing to pay for the mischarged wine glasses, we refused to pay for the water we never ordered. In response, the waiter threatened to call the police on us. We called his bluff, prepared to wait for the authorities, at which point he hastily revised the bill to exclude the water and charged us correctly for the wine.
Even after this debacle, the waiter shouted at my husband as we left, accusing us of being dishonorable. This unprofessional and aggressive behavior was the final straw in what was already a nightmarish experience.
In summary, La Casa di Alfio is a poorly run establishment with terrible food, deceitful billing practices, and rude staff. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. And whatever you do, don’t be fooled by their suspiciously positive Google reviews—it's clear that they are either fake...
Read moreOh my goodness where do I even start the pasta? It was absolutely delectable. I saw the guy bring it out and I knew from the start. I saw that plate and I was like dang this is gonna be super good and I was just right the nice little green plate with the cute little plant patterns and how it’s not like the deepest bowl possible but it’s still a good size. It was perfect for a single serving. I absolutely loved it in the chicken. Oh my gosh sure I hardly touched it cause I’m a skinny little American but the pasta part that I did eat holy moly guacamole absolutely busted everywhere. I’m telling you this was the spot brunch of pizza and pasta. Absolutely amazing. I love the decor. I love the little displays they have. I love the little lime tree I love I love the store very cute little in the wall. The service. Where do I even start about the service? I had four people in my group and two of them went to the bathroom we came and the lady came and got drinks and I was like oh OK but she got them for the two of us while the other two were in the bathroom they were so nice to wait and serve the other two in the bathroom later like oh my goodness gracious is Coke. It doesn’t have as much sugar as American Coke but it’s pretty good and I have to say thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up. They even offered us ice because that’s a normalized thing in America not here, but they offered ice and we said no because we love this place so much and no ice so it was pretty epic and I love it. 1718292826271882/10...
