TL/DR;
Do not go here if you are from the States.

Daughter and I were walking to the Eifel tower and saw this place at dinner time, My mistake for not checking Yelp or Google for reviews first. Outside looked nice and there were a lot of people outside so we assumed it was a good place. They stuck us in the very back corner inside without asking if we wanted seating inside our out. We were right next to the kitchen so very loud and busy even though there were plenty of other seats. The young man who showed us to the table and took our order was very nice.
Looked at the menu and I went with Chicken supreme (SUPPOSED to be Chicken, bacon, and mushroom in a creme sauce) with ratatouille on the side. My daughter wanted a cheese burger and we ordered a plate of the cheese fries (according to the menu - melted cheddar) as an appetizer (this was our ritual on this trip - order an appetizer that looked good just in case we did not care for something we ordered).
The waiter finally came over and he was obviously bothered with us right from the beginning. Very short and rude. We had a sense that he did not care for serving us and was mocking in the way he replied to us.
We the food finally came the burger was ok - overcooked but edible. The fries were fine, but the cheese sauce was just a small amount of what tasted like canned nacho cheese sauce. The chicken on the other hand was the tiniest piece of poultry ever. Looked like a Cornish game hen breast. It was incredibly overcooked - felt like a ball of thread in my mouth. There were no mushrooms, bacon, or even sauce - just a tiny amount of very thin, slightly brown sauce that had no flavor. The ratatouille was a very small (about the size of a soup can lid) circle of diced tomatoes with 1 small piece of eggplant that was completely flavorless.
I had asked for a Coke Zero and what i got was not a Coke Zero. No one ever came to check on us or refill drinks.
We sat both completely disappointed with the meal and about 10 minutes later the waiter came back and in a very nasty tone said "ok time to go" and took the plates without asking if we were done. I asked for the check and he said he would bring it and i accidently said "grazie" (we had just been in Rome for 4 days) and he stopped and dressed me down very loudly and angrily in front of the entire restaurant that its "MERCI" in France and if we were to go to Spain it would be "gracias".
When he brought the credit card machine he had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to put his tip on the credit card machine.
The total was 89 Euros. My daughter did have a Pina Colada (looked like about an 8oz glass) that by itself was 25 euro, but this place is insanely overpriced for everything.
I wish i could say this experience was isolated to this one restaurant, but it seemed pretty on par with the way we were treated in all of Paris.
After looking at some of the photos online of others diners meals I was very disappointed - my meal most definitely did not look as good as the ones in the review photos!
I relayed this to a friend who lives in Ireland and he told me that in general, the Parisians do not care for Americans and when someone orders a cheeseburger it is the staff's cue to give them the "American" versions of the food which seems to track with some of the other...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HEAR!!!!!! IT IS A MONEY TRAP!!! I Traveled to Paris to celebrate the recovery of my Daughter in law from a rare form of cancer, funded by the USA "Make a wish" foundation. The organization, who's money is strictly funded by donations from families who have experienced these types of hardships, was ROBBED from us by a band of pirates!!! disguised as pleasant and helpful servers and waiters. They basically welcomed us to STEAL FROM US. The sat us down, and began the ROBBERY, Offering us drinks that they claimed were apart of a special menu. But there wasn't and written menu where these drinks could be found. They WHERE BASICALLY A STRAWBERRY LEMONADE MOJITO WITH NO ALCOHOL. PRETTY TASTY RIGHT? We ordered food from menu and waited. The food arrived and it was basic to put it mildly, at least nothing of 5 star quality. These Strawberry lemonade's were good so we order a few more totaling 5 or six more tops! SO YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A BARTENDER OR MANAGER TO GUESS THE PRICES OF A SIMPLE MOJITO, AND THIS DRINK HAD NO ALCOHOL BECAUSE WE WERE WITH KIDS. SO IMAGINE YOUR SURPRISE TO SEE A 298.00 EURO BILL!!!!! THAT BILL SHOULD HAVE BEEN LESS THA 100.00 EURO. They began to explain that it was a special but never produced anything in writing showing this special price In fact there were alcohol drink on the menu that were no where close to this drink!!!!!!! IN FACT THE HIGHEST DRINK WAS AROUND 14.00 EUROS!!!! because we were American and it was our first time the took advantage of us!!!!! we didn't want embarrassment so we paid the bill, and left. Then we began research and inquired around to other restaurants in the area that informed us that what we paid was to much! We even consulted our Hotel front desk attendant who did some research of his own. To find Terrible Reviews on this place!!!! And warnings of not to dine there, and to top it off we spit the bill between two credit cards; ONLY TO DISCOVER THE CHARGED US EVEN MORE MONEY THAN THE FREAKING BILL!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!! WITH A COST OF 298.00 THE SPLIT WAS AROUND 148.00 EST OR SO. THEY TOOK AN ADDITIONAL 30.00 EURO PER CARD TOTALING 178.00 PER CARD!!!!!PLUS WE TIP ACCORDING TO THE BILL % PUTTING IN 40.00EURO MORE!!! SO WE WERE ROBBED OF 400.00 EURO!!!!!!!! THIS IS DISGUSTING AND APPALLING THING TO DO TO SOMEONE RECOVERING FROM CANCER!!!!!!!!! PLEASE AVOID AT...
Read moreI generally only write positive reviews, I don't like "Karens" any more than you do and I understand that i cant blame a restaraunt for their customers, but I left this restaurant with such a poor experience overall that I felt like I needed to warn others away. I write this review as a visiting tourist from the United States.
We were greeted by the waiter without a smile and he had a demeanor that made me feel like I was a bother. We were told the inside seating was full (even though a group who entered after us was allowed inside) and so we were seated outside next to a smoker and another group of (very loud) Americans, which I hope was a coincidence and not an assumption that my group and I would be just as rowdy. When we were asked if we were ready to order we hesitated a bit until the waiter irritatedly said "it's either yes or no, it's a simple question". We made our choices
The dish I ordered was the "roast-chicken and fresh French fries". I am by no means a qualified food critic but all I can say is that the small portion of chicken had no taste aside from butter, much like the pre made chicken you might find in a grocery store. The French fries were not crispy nor warm and lacked any flavor, even salt. Accompanied by a tiny salad and a disruptive ambiance, the dish was not nearly worth the price. During the meal, we were never checked on by the waiter as he was instead occupied flirting with and taking selfies with a group of female diners on the table next to us. The only thing on the table I had no qualms with was the wine, but they don't make that so it's difficult to credit them with this.
After asking for the check, it was eventually brought, we paid and were wished a half-hearted farewell before the waiter disappeared once again.
I can tolerate a mediocre meal or a waiter who could be having a bad day for all I know, but the combination of both along with the ambiance and what seemed to be hostility towards my status as a foreigner, compels me to dissuade any visitors from coming to this restaraunt as it has detracted from my otherwise wonderful...
