Crêperie des Canettes — Restaurant in Paris

Having been a frequent customer in the past, I was disappointed by this last visit. I am sad to say that this is no longer a top crêperie in Paris.

They have some new industrial machine making the crêpes on a 1-meter hotplate. The crêpes don't get cooked on both sides and rather they just flop over the crêpe and tuck in the sides onto your plate giving the appearance there's much more than meets the eye. It's essentially only half the normal dough you'd find in a normal crêpe with some skimpy ingredients they've warmed up in a microwave.

Lovely place with excellent quality crepes. We really enjoyed the savory and sweet offerings. The staff are friendly and service is really quick.

Three crepes and a drink was sufficient enough for our dinner, shared between two. But we had been eating all day so three may not be sufficient for all.

Prices are more than the average street vendor but the quality is better.

Side note, the restaurant is in a cool, little alley that seems to be popular with local residents. Great vibe...

Omg!! This place was perfect!! The crepes were the star of the dish, even with many ingredients in them, you still could taste the amazing buttery silky dough of the crepes. Also the chicken salad plate was simply perfect!! If you like Mediterranean flavors please try it!! I could not find one thing wrong with the food there. All the flavors were on point!!
