My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the Creator suites (room 706) for two nights. It was very well-sized, having a hallway leading to: *a separate shower, sink, and bath area (although no door for this section); *a separate toilet (although a sink in this room would have been nicer); *a well-sized lounge area with fridge, large TV, sofa, and chairs (plus also led to the terrace/balcony area) *a good-sized bedroom with comfy king-sized bed, another TV, and some other furniture (a cabinet and chair).
The decor was great - it was obviously very recently refurbished, and the colour choices and artwork selected were great - we loved them. The suite was really comfortable, clean, the towels and robe were very nicely fluffy, and it had amazing views from the bedroom windows and the terrace (from where you can see the Eiffel tower).
I've recently had the privilege of staying in Fairmont hotels, and it's clear that there's a slightly different level of attention to detail. For example, despite having a kettle and espresso machine in the lounge area, no cups are provided. On the first night, I had thought this was an oversight so I went to the bar area and asked for a couple of cups (which were politely handed over), however, after the room was serviced the next day, the cups were removed and not replaced and I couldn't be bothered to go down to the bar.
I also had bought a bottle of wine (we were celebrating a birthday), but had neglected to bring a corkscrew (an oversight on my part as the last couple of Accor hotels I've stayed in have provided these in rooms). The very nice man at the bar kindly lent me his, but I was surprised that the hotel didn't have spares.
Some other small areas that I would expect to be looked at when staying in rooms at this price point: *The lift doesn't require a room key to go up to guest rooms, so my partner was a little surprised and concerned about the security. It is a very nice part of Paris, so we didn't feel scared in the slightest, but I was a little surprised as even at Fairmonts, this seems standard. *The doorway to the terrace/balcony has only a small ledge and paint seemed to have started chipping away from it as people had stepped on it. Potentially rearranging the furniture and having a larger step (or multiple steps) may have made this nicer. *A very small detail thing - in the shower, the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers were all positioned at slightly different positions rather than in a straight line. The shampoo fell off the wall (I believe it had been glued on to the tiles) during our first night, so that remained on the floor of the shower until we left (we had reported it falling to reception). Additionally, there was no dispenser near the bath which might have been nice for creating a bubble bath. *Despite having worked in the audio-visual events industry for well over a decade, I could not get the casting feature on the TVs to work. The TVs used Airserver (which is normally great), but kept returning an error when I tried connecting (and I tried multiple devices). Obviously not a deal breaker, but casting is always nice, so I'd encourage the hotel to check out the system for any issues.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. We slept very well on the fantastic bed. The staff were all friendly and polite and made us feel welcome. And the views were great. I'd happily stay here again, but perhaps only once cups are provided as standard in...
Read moreWe had a lovely few days in Paris visiting the sights. The people were all lovely and Paris was very clean. We struggled to find bins in places yet there was no litter either. The hotel was perfectly located with many sights such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe being within easy walking distance. Those a bit further away were within easy reach via the Metro as was Gare du Nord to where we arrived on Eurostar. The station by d'Alma bridge was a leisurely 15 minute walk where we caught the train to Versaille. The evening dinner cruise down the Seine was the highlight of the trip. There are supermarkets and plenty of restaurants within walking distance of different cuisines. Our favourite was at the top of the road, le Copernic ... the steak is to die for and reasonably priced.
The hotel is quite small in comparison to others and the staff are all very friendly. They do have a gym and sauna, a bar and sitting area and serve breakfast but we did not partake of these. We chose a junior suite which is an L-shaped room wrapped around the lift. We were a little concerned having read other reviews about hearing the lift every time it went up and down but we didn't hear it at all. There are plenty of plug and USB sockets. The room was on the back of the hotel so the view was limited to other buildings. It may be possible to see the Eiffel Tower from the front rooms as you can from the outside front of the hotel. There were plenty of lovely toiletries and a bathrobe and slippers although you do need small feet! If you are staying for more than a couple of nights you will have to live out of your suitcase as there is a small hanging rail but no drawers and no cupboards to put any clothes in.
There were a couple of things that could make the stay more pleasant. The Nespresso machine was topped up with 3 pods each day, plus 3 tea bags (for two people why not 4 of each?) but no milk pods. There were also two bottles of water on arrival - one still, one sparkling (what I don't understand is why the room has a nightly rate and if it has five separate bookings they supply five lots of water but if you book five nights in one booking you only get the water on arrival, that is not replenished daily). Although you had water and coffee there were only two glasses in the room and if you bought wine or pop for instance to have in the room you had to swill them to change between coffee/tea/water/wine/pop. A mug for the hot drinks and a glass for the cold drinks each would have been nice. There was also no glass in the bathroom for swilling your mouth. There was a desk and bedside tables but a small table by the sofa for your coffee cups would have been handy. The only other issue was the size of the safe. You can fit your documents and a normal sized camera and possibly a tablet. I have a smallish (14") laptop and it is the first hotel safe that I have not been able to fit it in - some are a tight fit and it has to go through the door diagonally and will then flatten in the bottom but it wouldn't even go through the door.
Apart from that, fantastic hotel and will definitely be returning there again to see some more...

In my personal opinion, this should not be advertised as a Wheelchair Accessible room, especially for a PMR (Persons with Restricted Mobility) traveller travelling alone.
The Management team did try their best to respond, but unfortunately the challenges were structural and cannot be fixed during the duration of our stay.
