Unpleasant Experience – NOT Recommended||If you're considering a stay at LORD Apartments, I strongly advise you to rethink your choice. Here’s a detailed account of our disappointing experience:||||1. Theft and Lack of Accountability||On the last day of our stay, €300 was stolen from our suitcase after we left it in the luggage storage area. We immediately informed the director, Mr. Sylvain, but his response was shockingly dismissive. He offered only superficial apologies and absolutely no solution or responsibility. He was visible only during check-in to collect the tourist tax (over €100) and the security deposit (€350), but absent when real issues occurred.||||2. Security Deposit – Be Careful||We were asked to pay a €350 deposit without a clear explanation of when or how it would be returned. Tip: Demand its return on your checkout day, or risk never seeing it again.||||3. Hygiene Concerns||We found a cockroach in the kitchen while changing the trash bag—clearly unacceptable for any accommodation, let alone one with this pricing.||||4. Poor Kitchen Equipment||The kitchen was barely functional for four people staying seven days:||||Only one kitchen towel provided||||No cutlery or dish racks||||Lack of basic utensils and cleaning supplies||||The integrated washer-dryer barely worked and was ineffective at drying||||5. No Cleaning Service||Your room will not be cleaned at all during your stay. Cleaning costs €60 for a small apartment, and even more for larger ones. Given the prices they charge, basic cleaning should be included—especially to prevent hygiene issues like cockroaches.||||6. Inconsistent Hot Water||The hot water in the shower was extremely unreliable, switching between hot and cold without warning—making showers uncomfortable and frustrating.||||7. Unfriendly Staff||The staff, including the director Mr. Sylvain, were consistently unfriendly and unhelpful. Their distant, cold attitude left a negative impression and worsened the overall experience.||||Final Verdict||The value for money is very poor: small apartments, limited facilities, and a serious lack of professional service. The director’s inability to manage critical situations, such as the theft, is particularly alarming. We left disappointed and frustrated.||||We do NOT recommend LORD Apartments. Look elsewhere for a safe, clean, and...
Read moreWe stayed here for a few days and it was perfect. A mix of apartment and hotel. |The apartment, (Shelley) was perfect for us (a couple) and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and we made our breakfasts which we like to cook on our own schedule. We tend to take it easy in the mornings and ease into our day. If we wanted to we could have cooked dinners, the kitchen is well equipped, but what is the fun in that. |The bedroom was in a separate room so if one person wanted to sleep earlier or later they could without any noise from someone watching TV in the other room. The bed was very comfortable.|The place was extremely well cleaned and the bathroom was plenty big enough with products available. If we had wanted there is also room service and artisan breakfasts available to order.|There is a lower level lounge area which is very bright and cozy with a electric fireplace on one side and a library area on the other side.|The concierge folks were fantastic, great for recommendations, we enjoyed all of the restaurants they recommended. We wish we could have stayed longer to try them all out.|The Shelley is on the top floor with another unit on the opposite side of the elevator. So we had no one near us , very private and quiet. |The location was spot on as we were only a block away from Champs- Elysées. We could go into the more tourist type places on the Champs- Elysées or we could go into more of the local area where some of the best restaurants are (in our opinion). |We will definitely...
Read moreMy wife and I just spent 9 nights at the O'Lord Residence, and it is a lovely place to stay. I share my observations below.||1. The O'Lord is in an area with several foreign embassies. Needless to say, security is high and you always feel safe in the area.||2. The O'Lord is in a neighborhood that has few hotels. So, you have many more locals that tourists in the area. To us, this added to the ambiance of our trip.||3. There are multiple great restaurants within a mile of the O'lord. (We define great as a restaurant with 4.5 starts or more on Google.) ||4. There are three subway stations within a half-mile. We found the Paris Metro to be clean, safe and dependable. My wife and I are 70, and we both had multiple instances where younger people offered us their seats. We love the French people!||5. The air conditioning in the O'Lord room and lobby worked great. The elevators also worked great.||6. There was ample hot water and the water pressure is excellent.||7. The bed was nicely comfortable. The quality of the sheets and towels is first-rate.||8. The apartment we stayed in was nicely decorated. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped. A grocery store is less that a quarter-mile away.||9. The front desk staff is knowledgeable, kind and gracious.||Bottom line: we rate the O'Lord as an excellent place to stay. It offers good vale for the money, a great location, and kind and gracious hosts. In case you are wondering, we stayed in the Diodati unit.||Feel free to contact me if you...
