We had a starter of potato with beef and the slowcooked beef with rice and spicey chicken with noodles. The noodles were cold and so was the slowcooked beef with rice. The spicey chicken was so spicey that a Balinese even runs away. My husband and I have two Asian Fusion restaurants and we thought we mention this kindly to the waiter. Unfortunately we were treated very rude by the person in the kitchen laughing in our face saying that we shouldn't order Spicey chicken if we can't eat Sambal. We make our own Sambal from Habaneros and we know what spicey is but nevermind. The waiter was nice but the person in the kitchen was so rude while we only made a comment not too kill the food with peppers. Half of the food was cold and such a disappointment. Read moreI was there last week. The food isn’t a problem if you want to give it a try, although it’s not very authentic. What the restaurant really needs to improve is the man there. I’m not sure if he’s the owner or an employee, but he is extremely rude and has a very bad attitude. If he’s the owner, I think it’s important for him to reflect on his behavior. And if he’s an employee, he definitely needs more training on how to work in the hospitality industry. While the Indonesian staff was super nice, and the vibe led us to believe the food would be tasty and authentic, it wasn’t. My wife had Mie ayam and it was bland and really missing in taste. My rendang was underwhelming, again lack of taste. Barely any coconut flavor, no spice.
So as much as we would have loved to love this place, the food (or at least the 2 dishes we picked) really wasn’t the authenticity Indonesian food we made the trip to Paris Nord for. We likely won’t...
