If you're visiting Disneyland Paris and find yourself in need of a memorable dining experience after a day at the parks, Rosalie in Disney Village is an absolute gem. My fiancé and I decided to have dinner there after leaving Disneyland around 10 PM, and despite the late hour, the restaurant was still buzzing with energy, though you could sense the crowd was starting to wind down as closing time approached.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with refreshing air conditioning—a true blessing on such a hot day. The interior is beautifully appointed, creating an inviting and cozy atmosphere that feels both elegant and comfortable. We were shown to our seat immediately by our friendly hostess, and from that moment on, the service was impeccable.
The attentiveness of the staff truly made our evening special. Our hostess was warm, engaging, and incredibly helpful throughout the meal, going above and beyond by bringing us extra bread without us even asking. It's little touches like this that made us feel so well taken care of.
We opted for the set menu, and I have to say, the portions were incredibly generous—reminiscent of American-sized servings! The French onion soup we both ordered as a starter was, hands down, one of the best we've ever tasted—rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. For our entrées, I chose the ravioli, which was decadently rich with savory cheese, while my fiancé had the mussels and fries. The pot of mussels was enormous, so much so that she couldn't finish it all, but every bite was delicious.
For dessert, I indulged in a crème brûlée that was divine—easily one of the best I've had. My fiancé's sundae was enjoyable, though it didn't quite match the high bar set by the rest of the meal. To top off the evening, I had a glass of Riesling wine, which was the perfect complement to the meal.
The value for money at Rosalie is exceptional, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. At around 40 euros per person, it felt like a fantastic deal. They do ask for tips, which is rare in France, but I was more than happy to leave around 10% for the wonderful service we received.
All in all, Rosalie is a must-visit if you're in the Disney Village area. The food, service, and ambiance all combined to make our evening unforgettable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Disneyland Paris, and I can't wait to return on...
Read moreUnfortunately, I did not get to experience the food. After reading all the positive reviews, my daughter and I wanted to experience French cuisine at Disney level dining-knowing that Disney would always get quality restaurants and anticipating a good experience. It was 94° out and even the handles on the entrance doors walking in were so hot that the lady in front of us touched it and had to let go for a few seconds because the metal was so hot. Once walking in, it’s a beautiful expansive room. Very impressive with a bar in the center. We came in around 355 PM, seemed relatively slow with only 6-7 tables being waited on nicely spaced out in the dining area. We did see a lot of staff cleaning tables, waiters/waitresses taking orders, but no one at the front desk. Having to move over and stand at the entrance to the dining room instead of in front of the welcome table, we were able to catch the Maitre D’s attention (assuming he was that person as he was the only one in a suit) and he brought us to our table. After being seated for 10 minutes, we noticed waiters coming and going to the surrounding tables but still no one to welcome us or give us any water. After trying to get someone’s attention, still no one approached our table. At the 20 minute mark, despite multiple tables being empty in the dining area, they sit a couple RIGHT next to us. And the gentleman who sat them immediately brought them their wine glass, water glass, napkin, and cutlery— which we were still waiting for. After asking a waitress that walked by if I could order, she said that she was not our waitress, but she would look for her. I timed it because I was very annoyed and thirsty at this point and still let seven minutes pass because the menu did look incredible and we wanted to really give them a chance. But as I’m watching her talk to the maitre D maybe even looking in our direction, still no one came our way, so we decided to leave and go elsewhere. As we stood up to leave, that waitress seemed to look flustered as she looked our way, but the maitre d still did not even try to approach us or stop us. Very disappointed in the lack of Disney quality service I expect- much less for any “regular” restaurant dining service- esp as a Florida DVC member for over 15 years. This would never happen in Florida. We will be going on a Disney cruise in August- hoping for a better...
Read moreWent here after checking in to Disney New York hotel, first food in Paris and went for dinner. Very good food! I only subtract one star because the cordon bleu was a bit dry. If going for dinner for more than 2 people, make reservations or you may wait a while.
The service was excellent, and after dining around the last few days, it seems a Parisian thing to be more slow casual in service (especially getting a check lol). Once I understood this, I felt better.
We went back for breakfast twice, the first time was so much food we could not finish it all, a great deal for 18€/pp
Second time I learned to order a la carté so I didn't feel bad wasting good food.
Eggs were delicious, different than I've ever had, more moist. Croissant was perfectly baked, and was delicious with jam and butter. Baguette with every meal seems to be a local thing, and it's good, but I tire of it quickly, I would prefer focaccia. Espresso and cappuccino were always good.
As mentioned, the cordon bleu was a bit dry, but very flavorful. Mixing it with the mini macaroni and sauce made it much better. Local beer is available and is very good, almost like a Modelo or Michelob ultra.
They do offer a pay at the table QR code, which is helpful of they are busy. Do note, the app or machine will ask for tip, which is odd due to Europe customs of not tipping. I opted to do so the first time, but after speaking to some locals, I was made aware some places do it to make tourists feel better. After, I did not tip since there already is...
