After a long day filled with mountain adventures, we arrived at the hotel late at night, exhausted and dreaming of a peaceful rest. Our room was quite small, and we hoped for something larger, but due to the hotel being fully booked, that wasn’t possible. Nevertheless, our fatigue took over, and we happily fell asleep in the cozy, compact room. This was more of a booking misunderstanding than an issue with the hotel itself. The next morning, we were greeted with incredible warmth and care. The hotel kindly offered to move us to a spacious, bright room with a comfortable bed and absolute quiet—just what we needed for a full recharge. But perhaps the most memorable feature of the hotel is the terrace on the 4th floor, offering a magical view of Tbilisi. We enjoyed not only the picturesque scenery but also the delightful breakfasts served there. Special mention goes to the coffee prepared by David—it’s the best coffee we had in the city! The staff deserves special praise. Friendly, caring, and always ready to assist, they create an atmosphere where you feel at home. Every request is handled with such ease, it feels as though you’re visiting old friends rather than staying at a hotel. Hotel Tato is more than just a place to rest. It’s a true introduction to Georgian hospitality, filled with warmth, joy, and new friendships. It’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommend!

A Modest Stay with Pros and Cons I recently spent five nights at this hotel during my trip to Tbilisi. Situated on an elevation, it offers a unique perspective of the city, but be prepared for a challenging uphill walk. While conveniently close to Avlabari metro station, those with heavy baggage may find it necessary to opt for a taxi. The hotel is nestled in a residential area, providing a quiet respite from the city's hustle and bustle. However, there were some notable points that impacted my stay. Room cleaning was performed every three days, which might not suit everyone's preference. Additionally, the bathroom left much to be desired. A leaking bathtub and limited space, coupled with the absence of a tissue hanger and a petite sink, were notable inconveniences. The breakfast schedule might require some adjustment for early risers. Although advertised for 9 am, the staff graciously accommodated our request for an 8 am serving. It's important to note that the breakfast offered here is a genuine Georgian cuisine experience, which may not appeal to every palate accustomed to standard hotel fare. Overall, this is a basic budget hotel that manages to maintain a clean and tidy appearance. While it may not boast extravagant amenities, its simplicity is its charm. For travelers seeking a modest accommodation option, this hotel serves its purpose well.

for one night you can stay, a bit controversial impression of the hotel. our room was different from the rooms in the photo. the sockets did not look safe and sparked when plugging in the charger. for a dog you need to pay extra. it was clean enough, the bed linen is also clean, the blanket is too small. the breakfast is varied. there was no parking space near the hotel, parking there is for 1 car. but you can park your car nearby, you will have to walk a little. You can stay for a few nights, the hotel is not expensive, there are places to walk
