We have visited so many places over the last 3 years in Georgia and this is the WORST dining experience we’ve ever had.

First of all, the food is salty, oily, overcooked and doesn’t look fresh. The vegetable decorations in all of our dishes looked really weather-beaten as though they’d been used in other guests’ dishes before us. The meat looked appalling and not appetising at all. Khinkalis were extremely salty and plain bad, no doubt they are the frozen ones you can buy at cheap supermarkets. Eggplant rolls were also extremely salty and oily. We really regretted ordering the signature dish Palermo - the meat was overcooked and the potatoes were dry. If you’re familiar with Georgian cuisine, you’ll understand that the odjakhuri served at this place (photo attached) is a complete mockery. This is NOT odjakhuri. It’s French fries and huge chunks of dry meat!! I can imagine people trying it for the first time here and getting a completely wrong impression of this dish.

Now, onto the service. The owner is very pushy and recommends dishes quite insistingly. Also, be prepared that you will be charged extra without prior notice: we were given sauces that we assumed were included with the dishes they accompanied, but we were charged for them (and the owner never asked if we wanted them). We refused the bread that we didn’t order (and people report they also charge you for that) and after that the owner repeatedly asked us 2 or 3 times whether we need the bread. The service is very intrusive. The owner keeps coming to the table and asking why you eat slowly or don’t eat something (wtf?). At one point she took my cutleries without permission and tried to spoonfeed me. Absolutely shocking.

The music is chanson and very loud. The interior is unpleasant and looks just as bad as the food here. We did not finish a single dish we ordered.

There is no notice on the menu that you’ll also be charged a 10% fee. The only payment option is cash. We were given the receipt half the amount we’d paid. I suppose the owners are dodging the taxes.

I’m shocked by all the positive reviews for this cafe. Dining here was a huge mistake and we wish we had...

Atmosphere and owners are very nice, but the meat is always smelly, whether it is beef, pork or chicken. The reason I had 3 meals there was because the 1st Ostri (beef stewed) was quite generous in portion and sauce was nice, meat just abit smelly. That gave me the good impression and the restaurant was very near my hotel so I kept coming back. But the next 2 pork soup and beefsoup (kharcho) was simply disaster. I ate kharcho at nice restaurants with the price of 14,15 lari, no tax or service fee, which are delicious and decent portion. Kharcho here is 10 lari, but the owner added some kind of fee I did not know (cause there was no bill, she simply pressed the calculator and showed me), but I calculated and it was around 15-17%, and the kharcho portion was poor, very small smelly piece of meat. Although lady owner is very nice, I...

My wife and I just arrived for the first time in Tbilisi. We stop by in this restaurant with no expectations. To our surprise, it was the best that happens to us in Georgia. Love and welcome since we step in the restaurant from the owner. She and her daughter are not only caring and lovely but everything they suggest was absolutely delicious. We ordered Khinkalis that we’re cook perfectly great, the Eggplant salad that it was out of this world, tasty and well balanced, and also we ordered the pilaf rice and grilled chicken that was absolutely amazing. The chicken melted in my mouth, so tender and juicy…OMG! Of course we had to repeat the order for the eggplant salad, it was better than my mom used to cook and that a lot to say. Thank you Victoria and Malvina for being wonderful people that made us feel like home. See you soon for sure❤️

Great place and rare find. I, having travelled the world, am hard to please person but this place deserve rating beyond 5 star. I was greeted by Victoria, a grandmotherly woman, who made us feel at home instantly. She loves her work and it shows. From the beginning she took control of our order (cut down on things we over ordered). For example, we wanted to order two soup but she suggested one is enough and she can split it two dishes. I went with her recommendation of choice of home made soup, salad and main course which were all delicious and hearty. While we were there we saw that most of her customers come frequently. For instance, a group from Belarus came everyday and even brought gift for her. The service staff, a young teenager served with smiles. Overall an experience to repeat.
