Wonder how there is such good rating for this hotel!
Starting off with cons:
Hospitality and staff- Based on our experience hospitality is a concept alien to this hotel. Poker-faced, not so welcoming staff are the first thing you will notice while entering light house hotel. With their limited vocabulary use in spite of knowing English, in our 3 day stay all we got from them was - "use lift" (to take our luggage to the room ), "restaurant closed", "you need to check out", "did you pay 1 gel for the water" and "no rooms" ( when we wanted to upgrade our room).
Standard of room- The standard room which was allocated to us was depressing to say the least - hardly 250*300 cm size and a bathroom where the shower door and bathroom door can't be simultaneously. Literally you have to crawl into the tiny space and be super careful using the latrine because your face might bump into the washbasin or hanger or dustbin. Risky affairs! Add to it no dustbins, used towels, filthy quilt without cover, bedsheets, only two pillows, patched up wallpapers, broken curtains...
Service- Late night we almost starved thanks to the very helpful staff who conveniently declined our room service request at 8.30p.m after a very tiring trip (when it says in their menu that room service would be available from 17-00 _ 00.00) and with no apologies or suggestions as to where or how we can find food in that area. Extremely rude way of asking people to check out.
We were wondering if it was some discrimination against Asians. But on our late night venture to find food, thankfully we stumbled upon a restaurant right next to this hotel, that not only had great food but also warm and welcoming attitude as well. Language was no barrier to them and we ended up spending 3-4 hours tasting food and wine. Even the locals who didn't speak English put more effort to make us feel at home.
That brings us to the pros:
Next to Holy Trinity Cathedral and some really good hotels in case you want to shift. We made the blunder not to. But you have options.
Good breakfast is the only saving grace.
Good luck to those who are still planning to...

Read moreWe stayed in this hotel for 4 nights room are clean and we are very thankful to them as they give our request beyond what we been expecting!! A amazing room 36 huge room facing the view.||Reception team are great very flexible. We arrived around 4:45am unfortunately they have a standard check in will be 1pm so we need to stay until 1pm . We don’t want to add additional payment for half day but the team offered us a standard room to rest until our room will be available. ||The location if the hotel is very accessible near to the tourist spot you can even walk we go around the new and old Tbilisi without getting any taxi even for food delivery. You will be 15 minutes away to the good places to see the old Tbilisi, bridge of peace , some cathedral, and restaurants .||Only the things I don’t like is their breakfast as no food tags on the buffet so for us that we can’t eat some food (pork & NUTS)we are not aware and we can’t go ask them cause language barrier .. so I need to drag one of the reception to ask help . Their restaurant is only for breakfast service so if you want to eat lunch and dinner you don’t have a choice to go out and find good food .NO ROOM SERVICE . ||But overall it’s remarkable experience they give us .The housekeeping team is incredible you don’t need to ask to make up your room as they always coming everyday to do refill and clean . ||From our bottom of our hearts we thank you all for remarkable memories that your team gave to us to celebrate our first wedding anniversary!! ||Queenie &...
