Where to begin, originally placed in a room that must have had walls made of tissue paper! You could not only hear the people next door, but hear them typing on their phones, and each text message sent and arrival. Yep, the walls are THAT bad, it makes you question if these neighbours are actually in your room with you.
We asked to get moved to a better room, that would be quieter which they did with ease, but.....this is where it gets worse.
We literally did not sleep for 2 whole nights, due to the HARDEST, and most uncomfortable, uneven mattress ever fitted to a bed. With springs playing a tune each time you roll over, so bad it was that it's caused both myself and my other half to have sudden back issues lasting days.
What's worse, was the hardened sick stains on the carpet at the entrance of the bathroom. 🤢
We decided to cut our stay short with Premier Inn and move out immediately to the Marriott Hotel next door.
The unwillingness and defensive nature of the staff was the final nail in the coffin for us, even though we kept apologising and felt bad for complaining about our awful experience. The fake smile, and defensive nature of the dark curly haired guy with a beard (I think may be the manager) was the real measure up that they likely have these problems very, very often.
When moving to the Marriott, they were very well aware of the state of this Premier inn, and mentioned that people have moved from there in the past to go to the Marriott Hotel.
There were other people complaining the first night we were there, and the on our final night, which makes me question if all these positive reviews, are they real? Surely not. Worst stay and experience ever.
Pay that tiny bit extra, and book the Marriott, you'll only end up moving there...

UK travellers beware! The mattresses in this hotel are not the typical comfy pillow top mattresses that UK Premier Inns are celebrated for. They are rock hard and not at all comfortable to sleep on.
The rooms are compact and if you choose a twin room, you will find two single beds pushed together with two separate duvets - fine if you are close to your roommate but a little awkward if you are sharing with a work colleague.
The hotel is relatively new and the room decor is good. There were a few stains on the carpet and a few visible hairs in the bathroom upon check in. There is no way of contacting reception from the room so you will have to journey down to the ground floor to address any concerns you may have.
Rooms are not serviced on a daily basis and we returned to find the used and wet towels still on the floor of the bathroom from the morning. Clean towels may be requested in person at reception.
We endured a broken clothes iron and a faulty bathroom light. On the final morning the toilet stopped flushing and out of courtesy to the cleaning team we decided not to use it and use the public toilet on the ground floor instead.
On the plus side the breakfast was good (but expensive) and the staff pleasant.
The hotel is well placed, just across from the Messe and so it will always be a popular option for business users looking for a budget friendly stay. We will not be staying at this hotel in the future. For similar money there are far better options if booked well in advance.
We were not asked how our stay was during the check out process so I decided to record it...
Read moreGenuinely the best hotel I have ever stayed at, from the warm greeting upon arrival to the extremely comfortable bed and excellent shower. The staff here are just SO incredibly accommodating and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. A special mention to Flutura, who made our stay absolutely brilliant - she was always on hand to help out with any requests and was so accommodating and kind. The hotel felt very secure as the lift is activated by your room key card, and is in a safe location within the city. The hotel is situated right opposite the tram stop Ludwig Erhard Anlage, which connects you with the central station extremely frequently, and serves as your gateway to the city when staying here. Just take tram 10, 16 or 17 straight into the city. Nearby is also the metro station Festhalle/Messe on the U4 line, however this was closed during my stay for engineering works. Breakfast and snacks are served at the hotel’s bar restaurant, which is reasonably priced. I will most definitely be staying here again as I have never stayed at a hotel where the experience is at such a high standard as here. Premier Inns in the UK could learn a lot from German ones - Premier Inns in Germany are just SO much better and offer SO much more. For the low price, you certainly get a lot more than a hotel with a higher price point, so rather than going with a more expensive option, give this hotel a try for an AMAZING experience. I genuinely cannot fault it at all. Thank you so so so much Premier Inn Frankfurt Westend - my stay was...
