HERE - SUSHI & MORE — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Today was a special anniversary for myself and I wanted to celebrate with a friend by grabbing some dinner but after finding out the original restaurant we wanted to go to was closed for a party, we decided on sushi.

The place was not very crowded so we got seated quickly. The atmosphere was very nice, well thought out and clean.

The issues arose after we ordered food. We ordered two sushi rolls and two sashimi platters (1 large and 1 small). One of sushi rolls was missing ginger and wasabi. Then after waiting about 45-60 minutes there was still no sign of our sashimi. Other tables around us had already gotten their food, some already had left even though we ordered before. We called staff over to let them know and it turns out our order was not put in at all for the sashimi. When we were told this we asked them to just take off the small platter and only give us the large one since we had been here for so long. After another 10 minutes the sashimi came out, which the presentation was very nice, but it was the wrong amount with them only providing the small platter, not the large like we had asked. We were offered free desert as a result of the mix-up which was very kind of them but overall because of the service and wait time, we will not be coming back again. Upon entering the tone was set. We arrived in soaking wet coats from the rain in a completely empty restaurant. 'Ja bitte?' was the reception we received. Hmmm, dinner?, what else were we there for right? We were pointed to the worst possible table viewing the bathrooms and exit from the building. When asked for maybe another table, the waitress didn't check the schedule but announced it wasn't possible since all other tables were reserved. Looking around ans seeing a completely empty restaurant we asked if she was sure, we are fast eaters and probably leave before other guests arrive but without any apology or blink she was sure. With a lack of wardrobe we dumped our wet coats on the seats next to us. We later found out there was a wardrobe, would have been nice if they mentioned it when we entered. We ordered a draft beer but no draft possible that day due to a late delivery, again without any apology. During our dinner we saw the entire staff pay a visit to the bathrooms as well as residents carrying garbage bags for disposal. The food was good so complements to the chef but when we left I counted at least 7 still empty tables where we could have been placed instead of the bathroom view table. Absolutely fantastic; we were tourists in the city looks for something other than traditional German food for 1 night and found Here on TikTok.

There is so much variety on the menu! Everything was delicious, tasted so fresh and was exactly we wanted. The restaurant is located out of the main city in a quiet neighbourhood with outside seating available.

The main meals came to each person as they were prepared and did not all come together; but this was fine with us as I believe they made to order from scratch. I don’t have a picture but the Thai Red Curry with Duck was the winner of the meal, it was fantastic!

If I’m ever back in Frankfurt this is the first restaurant I’m coming to. If you like Japanese this is a must try!

Price: We ordered quite a lot so €30-€40 per person; however the menu has options ranging from starters at €6 to mains up to €24 odd.
