I heard that this is supposed to be a flagship store, so my expectations were high, and I was truly excited to visit. However, the experience was deeply disappointing. The staff’s attitude felt unfriendly, impatient, and unhelpful. Although they were clearly able to speak English, they chose to respond only in German, which made communication unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. This lack of willingness to assist led to repeated misunderstandings and unnecessary tension.
I tried to remain calm, patient, and polite, even attempting different ways to communicate, but the responses I received were still very dismissive and impatient. It’s unfortunate because this is exactly how small misunderstandings can escalate into conflicts.
I’m leaving this review so that other travelers are aware of what to expect. For a flagship store, I believe the staff should demonstrate a higher level of professionalism and friendliness. After reading other reviews, I noticed that several travelers have reported similar experiences, so this doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident. Sadly, this visit has left us with an unpleasant memory during our trip.
Many people dream about traveling to Europe and experiencing Germany, and I was one of them. But you should know this: wherever you go, you will meet both friendly and less friendly people. It’s best to be prepared mentally and emotionally, so you can handle situations like this without letting them ruin...
Read moreSimply a terrible experience. I went to the top floor to print some documents and found out the printer wasn't working. I ringed the bell and waited for 10 minutes for anyone to show up but no one bothered to come. I then looked for a worker on the floor and asked her for help to which she replied she is here as a minijober and doesn't know and I should look for another colleague. I kept looking but there was no one on the floor. Eventually I went on the ground floor to ask for help where a middle aged lady refused to talk to me saying she only spoke German. Perhaps if someone is that incapable of communicating in an international language, they should not be exposed to public! I switched to German to convey my point to which she responded by saying go upstairs you'll find someone there. I again told her that there's no one there and she simply walked away while I was talking. It was so embarrassing. I went upstairs again as I was desperate to get a print and asked the minijober to please call her colleague as there's no one else here on the floor As a response she rang the bell and just walked away. This was truly shocking to me. Never have I faced such kind of disgusting behavior...
Read moreSuch a rude staff. Other dm stores always gives the envelope if you use their copy service but today one of the employees were soo rude to us, not sure if she was being racist or purely unprofessional. Feel sad for her and poor customer service. She could have politely declined to give us the envelope instead of shouting at us.
Thank you for your response. This incident happened on 06.July.2024, on the 1st floor of your dm store near Munich hbf, in the copy service/photo printing area, it was around 3pm, the lady working their was of medium height, blonde, thin. She started shouting at my husband and I when we politely asked for an envelope for our xeroxed copies taken in dm (we always get an envelope to keep our prints always in dm in all the Branches), don’t know why it was different here. Anyways, she could have handled it professionally but she yelled at us saying I can’t just hand it over to you. The tone of her voice was very disturbing and embarrassing in front of all the customers. We felt insulted for such a small unnecessary act. Hope she learns her lesson and tries to be professional...
