Truly the only positives I could find about this hotel are that it was cheap, fairly central, and the bathroom had underfloor heating. ||The pictures make this place look a lot nicer than it is. Rooms are tiny, maybe okay if you’re on your own with just hand luggage but with a big suitcase there was no space. It was just incredibly cramped. Bed wasnt the most comfortable though this may depend on personal preference. Also there is no proper wall between the room and the bathroom so there’s no privacy if you have someone else with you… There’s also no safe in the room so if you have valuables there’s nowhere to store them safely. No do not disturb sign either so no option to lie in or not have housekeeping in the morning and no indication of when they might show up.||It felt a bit weird checking in at the bar/restaurant rather than reception and the check in desk isn’t 24 hours. There is no secure luggage storage if you arrive before check in, you have to leave your luggage in the corner of the bar/restaurant. Didn’t find the staff to be the most welcoming/friendly either. Area surrounding hotel isn’t the best, quite a few strip clubs and betting places. ||There is the option for a digital keycard so you can leave physical card in room for lights etc. I left my card in my room before I went out and when I came back housekeeping had taken my key. This meant I had no electricity and also that someone could gain access to my room. As a solo female traveller this was particularly disturbing. When I mentioned this to the staff at the front desk they just shrugged and didn’t care.||I ended up booking here due to flight cancellations meaning I was stuck in Munich for an extra couple of days and couldn’t continue staying at my previous hotel. Hotels were very quickly running out so this was pretty much my only option. Would not stay here again...
Read moreur company has used MK Hotels for group bookings over several years, but recent issues at MK Hotel London exposed serious concerns that potential guests at MK Hotel Munich should consider. A £20,000 group booking error during a slow season required legal intervention for partial resolution, highlighting issues with compensation, transparency, and customer care. Although hotel manager Jiri Rigan admitted fault, there was no meaningful compensation, and the alternative arrangement did not meet our agreed standards. Attempts to secure future bookings were then met with stricter terms, including a 100% price increase and non-refundable cancellation policy, which only further damaged trust.||When we escalated our concerns to MK’s upper management, led by part-founder Arno Sonderfeld, responses were dismissive and focused more on managing reviews than on genuinely addressing our issues. Multiple follow-ups resulted in repeated invitations to contact the hotel, yet without substantial outcomes, which has only reinforced our concerns about management’s commitment to the brand's stated values of integrity and guest care.||Given Munich’s position as a major property within the MK Hotels portfolio, prospective group bookers should carefully evaluate the transparency and service standards before booking. Our experience indicates that these issues may be indicative of broader, systemic management problems rather than...
Read moredo not book in this hotel, they publish prices on the websites which then go to disprove. I had booked almost a year before a five-night stay for three adults, on the booking website they published a total price of € 850.00 for two rooms, possibility of cancellation up to about ten days before arrival, well these twelve gentlemen days before arrival they send me an e-mail that the published price is wrong, from about € 850.00 they go up to about € 1980.00, they apologize for the inconvenience and two days to decide whether or not to accept the new price, I have not seen the e-mail and I do not reply so as to find myself canceled ten days after arrival creating a huge inconvenience to find an accommodation according to my budget in oktoberfest time, obviously I would not have accepted, € 1130, 00 or so more are not loose change, but then I wonder, have they been corrected? Haven't they realized in about eleven months that they were wrong? when they first checked my credit card they didn't check all the booking terms including the price? it seems to me a smart way to do business, but if they really made a mistake, wouldn't they have had to pay them for the mistake they made ten days from arrival? are these the Germans who think they are the champions of correctness and civic education to be exported to other peoples? avoid people,...
