We stayed in these rooms for 3 nights. First thing, the owner or manager (whoever) sends us a message on WhatsApp with codes to enter the entrance door of the building, the main door of the rooms and the doors of our rooms after that. There are no light in the hall as you enter the building, and you have to walk 3 flights of stairs up, spiral stairs. We were frightened. Also, the elevator is too small and the handle from the outside is broken.
As speaking of rooms, there is no reception or anyone to greet you. The room contains a bed (queen size), where my sister and cousin stayed, and 2 single beds, where I stayed with my sister, small fridge, 2 nightstands, TV that is not working and an air conditioner that is also not working as there was a problem with it the whole time. So staying was uncomfortable. The closet where owners placed one blanked for us was so dirty, because I hanged my black coat there at the next morning as I was about to put it on, it smelled bad and it got dust on itself. The bed was uncomfortable as well. The room did not contain any full length mirror. The first morning I've slept there, I've got terrible allergy, my eyes, nose and upper lip were swollen.
The breakfast was a disaster. Two toasts with one slice of cheese, wrapped in a plastic bag, and two boiled eggs. On top of that, two croissants, from a store. and a coffee or tea. Toilets did not have any shower caps or gel for showering whatsoever.
The room was pretty dark as well. When speaking about bathroom, only good thing is that it had a lot of hot water. As I previously mentioned, we got code to open the door of these apartments. At one point, they were wide open since the battery went low and if they were about to close it, there is no way that of getting in and out of the door. Anyone had access to our rooms, and for this situation to be more dangerous says the fact that the lights in the hall where rooms are located, do not turn on unless you fully step outside of the room. So, basically you are leaving it at your own risk! Addicts are located around the hotel. We've seen them every morning, when leaving a hotel for a city sightseeing, and coming back to hotel.
We didn't bother contacting person over WhatsApp. The only person we met there was a Russian women who boiled eggs every morning for breakfast. Her English was bad and basically we spoke with her in Russian. Nobody came into our rooms and tidy them, for 3 days!!! We did not get a toilet paper, or new towels, so no room service.
To conclude, the only good thing is the location, because it is approximately 20 minutes walk away from city center, and hot water in the shower. Other than that, I highly do not...
Read moreWe have booked this hotel through Agoda as we thought price was really cheap as we expected most of the time spend out of the room and make some trips to islands, other cities etc. However we got shocked when we supposed to pay 87 € (3 nights) in total but we got deduction of 169€ from our debit card. Because of hidden taxes. Agoda tricks and fool you in this way. Booking.com is more transparent with taxes. A room is very small only 15 m maybe even less. There is no reception in the hotel so no one to ask if you need anything. No one come to clean your room and replanish your towels or linens. Only for extra charges. No toiletries. Take your own or buy in the supermarket. You will find only bed,AC, very small TV, wardrobe, fridge and safe in the room. The table with chairs they shifted from the balcony to the room. Extremely small bathroom and sink. Difficult to wash face or brush teeth. The breakfast was very poor. 2 sandwiches with cheese, jam, spead and boiled egg. We couldn't find any tea or coffee facilities. And nobody to ask. Only benefit of this hotel is location. 5 mins walk to Omonia metro station. The light in the room was white and only 1 bulb. Bit dark and not comfortable for eyes. No mirror only in the bathroom. I highly not recommend this place to anyone. It less than 1 star hotel. Choose well. There are so many better options with...
Read moreThe place was okay for the price. Comfortable bed, very clean, soap and shower gels in the bathroom, TV, fridge, nice balcony, air conditioning (we didn't use it but might be helpful in summer). Breakfast was of poor quality but as for the price we were happy we even got it. We arrived at late night and we had problems with entering the room but we got response and instructions immediately after messaging. When it comes to location... On one hand it's like 20 minutes walk to the center and very close to metro. But on the other hand it's pretty dark area, lot of drug users on the streets, very dirty (lot of of homeless cats) full of grafiti and ruined building, trash laying around on streets. We were two young girls traveling and unfortunely we felt very unsafe, ecpecially after dark thus decided to shorten our stay. Place itself is okay but there are no miracles and the price is definitely connected to the location hence I have to lower my rating. . You make the choice. As it later turned out, most of Athens is like this so if you are on budget and male its worth...
