I am writing due to my pure dissatisfaction that I experienced whilst staying at this hotel I have multiple issues that I would like to bring up which I have done so below.||||Safety: This area that the hotel is located is completely unsafe. When I arrived to the hotel the first thing my taxi driver said was to be 'EXTREMELY CAREFUL as this is the most dangerous part of the ENTIRE country' I experienced on a daily basis hoards of people who were sitting on the curb all around the hotel with needles injecting themselves with what I can only assume to be illicit substances. This caused me to be genuinely terrified to go out at later in the evenings and be able to experience Greece's nightlife (especially as a solo traveller on their FIRST ever holiday) due to the fear of having an untoward encounter, during my stay everyone I spoke to seconded the fact this area is simply entirely dangerous.||||Misinformation on the booking: (LoveHoliday) There are multiple lines of misinformation all over the booking for this hotel. One of the main ones is stating that the hotel is '200m' away from the city centre which is entirely UNTRUE the "city centre" that the booking is alluding to is Omonia Square which in no way is the city centre of Athens which one google search or proper travel agency would realise. Another piece of misinformation that is stated on your website is that the hotel comes with a 'safety deposit box' which they do NOT have even upon request.||||Missing Information: (LoveHoliday) Some IMPORTANT information that should have been specified on the app is the fact upon arrival to the hotel you HAVE to pay 'Accommodation fee', this is something that Love2Holidays should be specifying so that those who are looking to stay at a hotel are AWARE and understand there may be a fee again another instance of poor research.||||The above are all extremely worrying circumstances that nobody should have to experience especially as a solo traveller or with...
Read moreWell the majority of the staff are lovely and helpful. The hotel is what you pay for really. We upgraded our room to have a balcony. This looked out onto the busy main road, with a view of a poorly kept buildings, with no furniture to sit on. Our up graded room did advise a 3 bed or double room. As we booked for just 2 adults, I had hoped the 3rd bed was removed... no, just 3 singles with two pushed together to make a double, needless to say they moved apart at times... We asked for a kettle only to have it taken back during the day, when we asked, we were advised they needed it. They did however find us another one and bring us clean towels as they had been forgotten in our room clean that day. The shower room fittings were falling off the wall, we couldn't even hang up the hand towels and the shower had no door. No it wasn't a wet room, it clearly should have had one. When we advised it was missing and the floor becomes extremely wet and slippery, we were advised it shouldn't have one. The fittings and stopper guard were all there, our guess was it was too big a door to replace. Good thing the shower head was set at chest height, so it didn't make that much of a mess. What it did mean was I had to ask my husband to hold it up so I could wash my hair. We just had breakfast which wasn't that great for us. A celiac and a vegan.....not many options.
All this being said, it did the job. Location wise, price wise as we...
Read moreMe and my school stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and I'm glad we did. Firstly, the room my friends and I stayed at (2nd floor, 203, 3 beds) was perfect for us. The room was very clean and cozy, but there wasn't any heating in the room so we were a bit cold in there. The room was very small for a 3 person room and the bathroom was pretty cramped but was very clean and there was thankfully hot water which was very nice. There was plenty of towels, different sizes which was perfect. We just needed some room to let the towels dry cuz all we had was a bench, where we put our luggage and a chair in the corner. Something I'd like to mention, Omonia is a very sketchy place, very noisy and just unsafe. But we felt safe in the hotel and it was a bit weird we kept hearing our door opening, sometimes it actually opened on its own but nobody broke in. Plus, one of our teachers was staying in a room near ours so we felt even more safe. The buffet was alright, though I was hoping they would change it everyday like some other hotels do, but we had a big variety of things to put on our plate so I was happy. Something I'd like to point out, my friends tried the orange juice they said it tasted weird and not like normal orange juice, so I tried the peach juice and it was nice. Overall, the hotel is very nice and our room was lovely, my friends, I had a lot of fun in there and I recommend going there when you're only staying...
