The staff was rude and absolutely disrespectful! We booked a room with a city view and received a room that smelled of mold and "viewed" the wall of another building. The man at the reception desk didn't want to change our room at first, saying that if we wanted a view of the city, we had to include it in our special requests. And that there are no other rooms available. Even after we showed him our confirmation with all of the room details on booking. Finally, he went with us to the room because he didn't believe that the room smelled of mold. He tried to lie to us that it was the smell of cleaning products (?!), so my boyfriend asked him to bring the cleaning products. The gentleman probably understood that he can’t really fool us, so we eventually got another room. This one didn't smell of mold, but it was stifling, old and it looks absolulety NOTHING like in the photos on booking! The furniture is old, the floor has stains, the bathroom has stains on the walls. There is no city view as well. Breakfast was very poor and there were not too many people, so I suppose this „no other room available” policy was also a lie. The next day, during check-out, another employee asked me how our stay was, so I described the situation from the previous day. And he told me that the photos on booking.com are not theirs (!) or maybe there are from a different hotel. He also told me that „city view from the room” means „city view from the hotel” I wish I was joking. We managed to get a small refund from booking, but please...
Read moreWe stayed here for a four night stay in February 2020.|Things we liked about the hotel |* Central location |* Easy access to restaurant, bars and shops and the metro which has a direct line to the airport |* Room was big, had a fridge with some mini bar items and tea and coffee facilities. |* Staff were really helpful and friendly |* breakfast |Thing we didn’t like |* You have to heat the water 15 mins before you need it but in my opinion there isn’t enough water for 2 people to shower so had to keep heating it and waiting. |* Noise from the bars and restaurants and other rooms |* Didn’t have a bar or any other place to sit outside of the room |* I have long hair, hair dryer over heated within 30 seconds to a minute, then I would have to wait 5 minutes and try again. I went to reception and really helpful man got me another one only|For the same thing to happen, it just made it easier switching between them but might be best to get a hairdryer that doesn’t over heat so quickly. |* In a world when we are trying to focus on being greener, we hung out towel up to use again but every day they were changed which we personally felt was not needed. |We appreciate that somethings were out of their control like the poor toilet drainage, having to flush toilet multiple times we were ok and patient with it but know lots of people won’t like it. ||Hotel is very clean and...
Read moreI needed a hotel as close as possible to Monastiraki Square for a 1 night stay, this hotel proved to be perfect just 2 minute walk away. On the booking website I had read several reviews saying the annexe rooms across the road from the main hotel were disappointing and of poor quality. That was not my experience! I requested a room with a view of the acropolis and was told these are all located in the opposite building. I found the large room I was allocated to be very comfortable and extremely clean with a very modern shower room. The room had a wooden floor and occupants of other rooms could be heard walking about, but at night it was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable, I slept very well. The view of the acropolis was amazing. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks. I enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay there again.||Finding the hotel is quite confusing. The correct address for the main hotel and reception is 95 Ermou. 90 Ermou, the confirmation address, is the address of the annexe.. A note on the side door of number 90 redirects customers to the reception at number 95...
