Luwain Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of Athens! From the moment you step into the hotel, you are greeted with warmth and elegance. The morning and evening receptionists were amazing. They were always there to help and never rude. Definitely felt comfortable on my stay. I called the hotel even before my stay from London and they picked up and dealt with my enquiries effectively.
The hotel opened about 3 months ago so this is why there aren’t many reviews online. However you are missing out on this gem. I personally would come back for the hotel! The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home.
The rooms are beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The room definitely has attention to detail in every aspect. The air-conditioner was great and the rooms were cool which was very important in the hot Athens weather. We had a great time and can't wait to return. They had amenities such as an iron, hairdryer and many more. They also had toothbrush, razor, sewing kit and shower caps. It was very thoughtful and innovative to have these things as most are needed on holiday.
I was welcomed with the tv having my personalised name on the screen. The bed was my favourite, I would come back to sleep on this bed. It was the most comfortable bed in my life. The cleanest and comfy, I would sleep extra as it was that good. The black out blinds feature were amazing too. After breakfast I’d have a nap and felt great and ready for the day. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly sets Luwain Boutique Hotel apart.
One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. The food was not only fresh and flavorful but also beautifully presented. I loved that it’s not too much food, as the quality was there. In the breakfast floor you can see the Athens Acropolis and it looks fantastic. There is a room which has music playing and you can control the music level whilst being inside the room. Which I found innovative and makes the room interactive with the guests.
The staff were attentive and always asked if we needed anything else. The 8th floor team are amazing and wish to see them again. Especially Christopher, he brought an amazing fruit bowl and non alcoholic drinks (as we are Muslim) on arrival as a birthday treat. I loved this and was definitely impressed.
This hotel is Muslim friendly and welcomed us with open arms. The area also had many halal food restaurants nearby, which was also convenient.
The hotel's location is situated in an area with easy access to transportation and many attractions nearby. However one disclaimer. I didn’t like that the area was a bit run down and abandoned like. We were told why this was and the reason being is because it use to be a city however things went downhill and was abandoned.
However these building have now been brought and going to be renovated. The Luwain boutique hotel was exactly the same as the other buildings and has been turned into something amazing over the past 4 years. I hope to be back once renovations are done. This hotel definitely feels and looks 4 stars.
Overall, my experience at Luwain Boutique Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Athens. It's a true hidden gem that exceeds expectations in every way possible. I thought this hotel was family owned as every staff member were caring and comforting towards us and each other during our stay here. I would love the write more, this is as much as I can say in a summary of this beautiful hotel. I frequently travel and this was one of the best hotels I’ve been to so far.
I will definitely be back for this hotel! Love from...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Luwian Athens boutique hotel, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The hotel itself is a masterpiece of design, with a blend of modern and traditional elements that create a truly unique and inviting ambiance. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and luxuriously furnished, providing a haven of comfort and relaxation. The bathroom was also a highlight, featuring high-end fixtures and amenities that added to the overall luxurious feel.
The hotel's location is absolutely perfect for exploring the city's main attractions. We were within walking distance of the Monastiraki, Hadrian's Library, Temple of Hephaestus, and the Acropolis, making it easy to immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of Athens.
The rooftop restaurant, situated on the 8th floor, offered breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline. The food was exquisite, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and presented with an artistic flair. The service was impeccable, and the overall dining experience was one to remember.
While the rooftop garden was still under construction during my stay, I can imagine how stunning it will be once completed. It will undoubtedly be an even more alluring feature of this already exceptional hotel.
My only minor complaint (and it is a silly one) is that it took me a while to get used to pronouncing the name "Luwian." However, I wished I could remember the name because so many people were asking where we were staying and I felt sorry that I couldn't remember the name so well. But a simple swipe of my phone and I easily showed them the name and location of the hotel.
Overall, I highly recommend the Luwian Athens boutique hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Athens. It is a true gem that combines comfort, style, and impeccable service with a prime location and exquisite dining. I can't wait to return to experience the hotel in its entirety, including the completed...
Read moreThis was my second time staying at Luwian Athens Boutique Hotel - and once again, I was very pleased. I chose this place for its modern style, cleanliness, and great location close to all the main attractions in Athens. The space feels fresh, well-designed, and has a touch of luxury.
Special thanks to the staff: the doorman was very kind and even crossed the street to help me with my luggage. The receptionist, Limonia, was truly lovely -friendly, attentive, and recommended a wonderful local restaurant with a traditional vibe that turned out to be fantastic.
A few downsides: at night, the motion sensor light turns on automatically when you get up, which is quite frustrating, especially if you’re just going to the bathroom. I couldn’t find a way to disable it.
The hotel is advertised as pet-friendly, but the rooftop restaurant’s attitude toward dogs depends on the staff. Last time, they allowed me to sit in a corner with my dog. This time, they said the dog had to stay in a bag and didn’t even offer a bowl of water. That felt disappointing. Dogs are part of our lives and should be treated with respect, especially in a place that claims to be pet-friendly.
Aside from that, it’s a solid choice for a stylish and comfortable stay...
