More Athens Apartments — Hotel in Athens

The apartment is centrally located in Athens. Short walking distance to most things.

The apartment seems clean, modern and functional. Large terrace that gives a nice view over part of Athens.

The host responded immediately via Whatsapp and solved any problems or questions we had during our stay.

Normal height of the railing, but it is far down from the terrace, so with regard to small children, there may be a little extra to watch out for.

The neighborhood looks rough with graffiti everywhere and hectic narrow streets with lots of people, cars and mopeds. We weren't out very late, so I can't say anything about how the security is in the evening and at night. But, during the day it felt as "safe" as the rest of Athens.

We were only given a key that was attached to a chip that must be in the apartment for the electricity to be on. This offered some logistics if some were to leave early and others to sleep. We also did not request another key, so it is possible that this could also have been resolved.

There are a number of specialty shops in the immediate vicinity that sell spices, meat, cold cuts and cheese. There is also a fruit and vegetable market and a fish and meat market a few meters from the front door.

Recommends the apartment for families, couples...

I was misled and scammed by the apartment owner. Upon arrival, we were directed to a flat that was already occupied by other guests – their luggage and personal belongings were inside. We had to leave immediately and find another place to stay, paying extra costs out of pocket.

The owner never informed us that we were sent to the wrong apartment. Only after I reported the issue to Booking did she start claiming that we “entered the apartment ourselves,” which is completely untrue. Despite Booking’s attempts to mediate, she refused to refund our money.

The entire situation was stressful and highly unprofessional. I strongly advise against booking this property. For your own safety and peace of mind — please avoid this place. Photos attached as a warning to...
