Voulis Best Global Home — Hotel in Athens

We had a reservation at Soggiorno Voulis Best Globle Home in Athens for one night, July 21–22. Unfortunately, we experienced a sudden medical emergency and were confined to a hospital bed, with a doctor recommending no travel for 30 days. We contacted the hotel just one day late, because we were literally in a hospital bed with an injury, and we offered to provide hospital receipts and a doctor’s note proving we were unable to leave the country , but they didn’t even care to see them.

Despite our efforts, the hotel showed absolutely no empathy or understanding. They flatly refused any refund or even a credit for the one night we missed , which is absurd. Every other hotel and travel provider we contacted during this difficult time demonstrated compassion, refunded or credited our bookings, and understood the seriousness of our situation. But not here.

Their refusal to help, even after being offered proof of our emergency, shows how desperate they must be for the money, and it really shows in their attitude. We were not even asking for a full refund (a credit would have been enough.)

We are deeply disappointed by the complete lack of humanity we experienced and cannot recommend this property to anyone who values compassion or decent...

Location is AMAZING! 20 meters from Ermou street, and no traffic light crossings needed to reach Acropolis, Adrianou street, all of Plaka, Monastiraki, Psirri, and Thiseo.

Entrance and Exit to the rooms is smooth, no keys needed just passwords, which I find very convenient.

Rooms and bathrooms very clean, and although the owners are not here all the time, they still pass by from time to time to clean up the room, and they help out when you need them.

2 things that they can improve are, firstly, as another review mentioned as well, the prices for the drinks in the fridge must be mentioned somewhere. Secondly, trash-bags should be replaced or at least be made available for us to replace, since our trash got full within one day, which was a bit annoying.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing.The biggest issue was the bed in my room — it was missing a part, making it unstable and very uncomfortable to sleep on the comfort of the room was a major letdown. The mattress was extremely hard, making it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The bedside light in my room did not work,the shutters in my room were not working, which made it difficult to block out light and get proper rest, no espresso machine as it was written on the description, broken sofa, missing tiles ....Basic courtesy and an apology go a long way in hospitality, and unfortunately, that was completely missing. I would not recommend this...
