I’ve visited this rooftop bar 7-8 times over the past three years, mainly for cocktail tasting. While I haven’t tried the food (I will make appropriate edits if I do), I have noticed a lot of improvement in the service, atmosphere, and especially the menu. The service here is truly incredible—every time I visit, the staff are polite, attentive, and always willing to help. It’s clear they care about making sure you have a good experience, and it definitely adds to the overall enjoyment of the place.
The menu has become simpler and more focused, which I appreciate, but unfortunately, the cocktails still haven’t left a lasting impression on me. They often come across as a bit bland and somewhat basic. While the ideas behind the drinks are creative, I feel the execution just isn’t there yet. The cocktails aren’t particularly memorable, which is a bit disappointing considering the potential they have.
On the other hand, the view is absolutely incredible. Watching the sunset with a perfect view of the Acropolis is a stunning experience. The terrace is modern and minimalistic, creating a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. The music is always on point, adding to the vibe and making it an ideal spot to unwind. Despite the cocktails not being standout, the overall experience still earns...
Read moreGreek living in Athens here. This place has changed completely since it opened. Used to come here a lot and told many people about it in the past but never setting foot here again. The policy has completely changed! Their target audience is apparently only tourists, now that the place has become wider known. They only do reservations with a minimum consumption now which for greek standards for a coffee shop/bar is absurd. The person at the front desk was impolite the past few times Ive went. When we arrived the woman at the front desk told us that there is no free space at the moment so we had to wait. Some of my tourist friends wanted to check the place out to decide whether it was worth the wait but the woman said that none of them was allowed to go in. This is why we decided to leave. When we informed the woman we were leaving she contacted the staff inside the bar and they told her immediately that there is space for our group of 10. So is the policy to act extremely exclusive and make people wait for a table for no reason?? There are other rooftops in Athens with friendlier staff, better food and better ethics where locals actually go to and feel welcomed. Just the view of the Acropolis does not...
Read moreI went again to this bar when a friend came to visit me in Athens and I chose it because I love the view from there so much. But. As soon as we arrived, the informed as that they have switched off the coffee machines (which is common in Greece after a time, but what about Espresso martinis, right?). The problem was on how this was communicated, they told us that they do not serve any type of beverages except the alcoholic ones (they even mentioned ‘not juice, tea’ etc. which sounded extremely rude and unfair for those who do not drink alcoholic beverages) . That was fine for us since we would drink something alcoholic. My other concern is, that when we arrived, they tried to shove us in two chairs in very limited space, and when I asked about other places, everything was reserved ( there were more than 10 without the ‘ reserved’ sign , while others had it, other people stayed in these tables whatsoever) . A bit later, some people left so we asked to move to their places and they let us go (different staff member). I’m putting 3 stars because of the view and because the waiters were friendly, but I will definitely think it twice...
