Have had a very relaxing holiday at this lovely hotel and local beach and restaurants. |This small hotel had a very nice well maintained outdoor area. A Shaded area for eating and drinking, a large pool for the size of hotel and plenty of sun-loungers and parasols to relax on by the pool, this area got sun all day.|Background music played quietly all day in the restaurant area which masked road noise making the area quiet and very relaxing. There was also ample private parking space at the front of the hotel.|The location of the hotel was very convenient, as it was on the bus route to the main town (30mins trip) , the bus stop was less than 100m from hotel, you could also catch the sight seeing land train from the same spot. The beach was a short walk away , this beautiful beach had 4 or 5 lounger areas provided by bars and hotels. The area’s shops, restaurants and bars were spread out, so no main strip as such which made for pleasant walking whilst exploring the area.|The apartment was very clean and well decorated. The shower was strong with endless hot water. The kitchen/lounge area was equipped with table chairs, sofa, fridge, kettle and toaster, which we used there was also a small electric hob , extraction fan and tv with local channels but we didn’t use those.|The bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed, dressing table, hair dryer and large wardrobe with plenty of hangers to hang all clothes. The sliding doors from the bedroom led out to a private balcony with table chairs and parasol and a great secluded view of the swimming pool. All the balconies caught the morning sun and were shaded in the evening which is perfect. I loved being able to take a morning swim in the pool on my own before breakfast.|The restaurant and bar served very good food with lots of local and international dishes on the menu. Everything was made fresh. The bar had excellent cretian beer and wine as well the usual soft drinks and spirits. The restaurant was busy in the evenings with customers coming from other hotels and locally to eat, however we always got a table when we wanted to eat or drink.|The very hard working family and team were outstanding, very friendly and welcoming, the service was excellent.|I would happily book this hotel again, the majority of the guests staying with us had been repeat customers, we had been recommended this hotel by a friend. |The other guests were mainly older couples 40+ from England , Germany, Sweden and Ireland so a nice mix of people giving a very...
Read moreRidiculous behavior from an unprofessional “owner – manager”! We had booked two rooms with four beds each, for two families of four persons each, for four days during mid August. We had booked 3 months in advance just to be sure we had accommodation during high season!||We had no annoyance for three months, until three hours before check-in, as we were driving to the “hotel”. The owner called us and informed us that according to his policy we should pay him 50 € per family per day (200 € per family in total) because we left blank the ages of the children in the booking form (although the rooms were booked with four beds)! We tried to explain him that was a simple mistake with no intention of fooling anyone, and that it is something common in previous on line reservations we had done with other establishments through the same site. He reacted angrily, said it is not his problem and just demanded the extra money with the threat that if we don’t give him the money he won’t let the children inside the room!!||By the time the discussions with the other family were over, in order to inform them for the threatening demand of the owner, we had reached the “hotel”. We tried find a solution by talking face to face, but he was avoiding us. So we tried by contacting the site of the reservation. They tried to intervene in order to find a solution, but that just made him more angry, and so he cancelled the whole booking without telling us anything other than that he didn’t liked customers like us!!!!||We found ourselves with no rooms in the middle of August, two families of four because we didn’t accept the extra charge happily! Because everything happens for a reason, everything turned out fine, and we had the best vacations for years.
