Mosaic Urban Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

We stayed in MOSAIC for 16 days in AUG 2017. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. An old, totally renewed building with simple but exceptional decoration both for the rooms αnd for the communal spaces. We asked for a last minute reservation, so we had to change 3 rooms in the period of 16days. Each one was unique, but absolutely aligned with the rest of the building's decoration (the floor allover the building is a piece of art).

The service was more than perfect. The staff was allways smiley and willing to assist, not only with whatever we may needed in the accommodation, but also to provide us with instructions / recommendations regarding the town of Chania. Moreover, they are "obsessed" with cleanliness.

It is located in the center of the town, just 5-7 mins walking distance from the old harbor. A car is necessary only to go outside Chania, since everywhere you go in town is in walkable distance from MOSAIC. However, we were in need of a permanent parking position, due to the surf boards we were carrying on top. The MOSAIC staff arranged for us the required parking position, in a private 5 floor parking just 200 meters away and in an unbelievably low price.

Really fortunate we...

We absolutely loved our stay at this Mosaic in Chania. Even before we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Our flight was delayed, and Rania from reception personally called us and offered to stay late so we could check in properly, even though she could have just left the key at the desk. That extra care meant so much after a long day of travel.

The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like turndown service. I’m still trying to track down the conditioner they provide — it smells amazing and left my hair so soft!

Everyone at reception was warm, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. We had arranged ahead of time for a parking spot in the municipal garage just a block away, and it was super easy to reserve and well worth it for peace of mind.

The location was perfect — just a short walk to the Venetian harbor, but tucked away from the busy crowds. And when we checked out, they even gave us a small gift. Such a thoughtful gesture that really reflected the hospitality we experienced from start to finish.

Highly recommend staying here — we’d come back in...

We started our Crete trip with a stay at Mosaic, and were so glad we did. The hotel is modern but still has character; the room was a good size, comfortable, and clean. The location was exactly what we wanted - close to the historic centre (only a 5 minute walk to the old town, and 10 to the harbour), but tucked away on a quiet street so we had no issues with noise at all during our stay. It's also only a few minutes walk to the bus station. What makes Mosaic really outstanding is the service - every single one of the staff was very warm, friendly, and helpful. We got a lot of help from Irini, from helping us figure out how to get bus tickets to Samaria, to helping arrange a local car rental that would have been tricky to do ourselves (as we wanted a one-way rental to Rethymnon). Mosaic also kindly refunded half of the nightly charge for our first night with less than 24 hours notice after flight delays caused us to get in a full day later than we had planned.

I would stay at Mosaic again in a heartbeat, and would recommend it to anyone...
