I can say only the best about Aris Hotel. The rooms are spotless and tastefully furnished. Ours overlooked the hotel’s beautiful inner garden through a small veranda with a pergola— a pleasure to the eye and at the same time a guarantee of privacy. The hotel also features a wonderful rooftop, where we went every evening to enjoy a moment of relaxation on the comfortable chaises longues. Breakfast is abundant, both sweet and savory, with local products. But the true highlight is the staff: welcoming, friendly, and extremely kind, always ready to help in case of emergencies with empathy and great attentiveness. An absolute gem of a hotel in Paleochora, Crete! A tiny tropical oasis. Warm, friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful rooms. Bath is immaculately clean. Beds very comfortable. I can't say enough about the delicious breakfast with fresh local Cretan cheese, tomatoes, avocados, eggs, a variety of home baked breads and wonderful coffee. The landscaping is a work of art. Lush with unique wood-works by one of the owners/artist. The hotel offers free bikes to roam around town and for vinyl collectors there is an awesome collection in the living room area with a record player. Loved staying there. Didn't want to leave. A wonderful, well positioned family run hotel, with friendly, courteous and professional staff who are always ready to help. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the road . It was well appointed with a minibar-type fridge, a/c and ensuite bathroom with a good shower. It was quiet at night and there are blackout curtains for the street lighting. Housekeeeping was faultless. The self-service breakfast, eaten either inside or on a pretty shaded terrace, is a treat and is served until a very civilised 11.00 am. The breakfast staff are cheerful, highly efficient and very helpful with any individual requirements. It is an easy stroll to nearby restaurants and shops.
