We will never stay here again. Their business is a joke. We found the staff mostly rude or borderline rude and unprofessional. The bartender was nice. The shuttle bus driver was initially nice then seemed to take it personal when we rented an ATV from another place mid a walk about. Our roomed was changed last minute and we were given this terrible room across from the front desk with zero privacy (room #13). In which we were told was like an "upgrade" from what we booked (not true). The room was suppised to have a kitchen. It had a kitchen sink, small fridge, an electric water kettle, and counter. No stove. No tea, no coffee, no pans or pots. What am doing here camping??? The tv seemed on the fritz. The showers had no shower curtain and caused water to get everywhere (floor, toilet seat), the shower drain was so slow that it backed up significantly. One time so much so that the drain in the bathroom floor also backed up. Pretty gross. Someone had come in to our room when we were out to clean (not expected) and didn't replace the towels, however left a nice dirty foot print on the "freshly made" made bed. When we tried to return the dirty towels and request new ones they refused to take them and said they would send someone to collect and replace. We had gone out for the day and found that it never happened. I went to the front and asked for new towels and was refused by the staff and then by the owner (Sofia) HERSELF saying they are closed. No towels today. Apparently this request was too much for them to accommodate. I posted a pic of the drain, the 3rd time it backed up. Wish I took a pic of the foot print on the bed. We cut our stay short after the towel incident, booked elsewhere and left at about 10pm at night. Elysium hotel is incomparably better and appreciated us so much more. Sofia Village is refusing to refund us our money for the services not rendered (nights not used). Sofia Village can go pound sand. Honestly, not good vibes...
Read moreReally bad experience. ||All started the day I booked the room. Got double charged by the hotel and when I arrived there they were acting like nothing happened and were asking of proof, even though they had two receipts. They didn’t even apologized for taking the money twice (manually). The lady at the reception was very rude and looked like she didn’t care about anything at all.|| They gave us a room at the end of the property. It was good size wise but very old. The keys were missing and I had to go twice to the reception to get them. || Basic amenities (no shower gel though). ||The WiFi was not working at all. The second day after complaining they told us about another WiFi called “eleni” but still didn’t work at all. || The a/c was broken and after 10 min of working there was massive water leakage. Thank god we were there and all of our stuff were not destroyed. The little freezer was placed in a way were you couldn’t open the freezer. || No actions were taken for the above. After two days we decided to stay more on the island. The reception lady offered us a “better rate “ than booking.com so we can skip their charges, so we said ok since we didn’t want to move again for 2 nights only.|| No receipts were given to us or anything. ||They just changed the towels (not the bedsheets, and no amenities where replaced) The last day when we went to pay they asked 25 more euros cause one friend of ours used the pool for an hour and stayed till late for drinks (since everything was closing at midnight). So they charged her overnight. || There was not a lot of COVID-19 measurements taken. The antibacterial gel was empty at the common areas and none in the room. || Would not recommend the place at all. Especially the lady working at the reception was really rude and made us feel like we “bother” her all the time with...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! I recently booked this hotel for a 4 night stay via hotels.com 3 months in advance of our planned stay. I received a booking confirmation with the direction 'pay at property' written on the booking. I received no correspondence advising me any different from the hotel or from hotels.com. On the day of check in I received an email from hotels.com saying the hotel had difficulty taking payment and i would need to contact them within 24 hours in order to keep my booking. This was confusing to me as i had not been informed the hotel would debit payment, as it was a pay at property booking. I received this email as I landed in Mykonos. One hour later I was at the hotel only to be told that hotel.com had cancelled our booking. This was a complete and utter lie as upon checking with hotels.com they informed me it had nothing to do with them and that the hotel had cancelled the booking 1 hour before we arrived and re sold our room most likely for a higher price to someone else. They did this knowing there was a 1 year old baby on the booking. We arrived after 24 hours of travel with a baby to no room all because this hotel thought they could make some extra money by re selling our room all within the space of 2 hours. The notification i received was that i had to contact them within 24 hours to keep my booking. I was at the hotel within 2 hours and it was already cancelled. Just shocking. When i spoke to Sylvia the booking manager she was absolutely awful. She tried to tell me i should be grateful that she found us a room for one night and that she came out of her house to speak with him. I have never known anything like it and I will be taking it further.
I would advise anyone NOT to book this hotel if you actually want to have a room...
