What can I say about this place!!
Even though it doesn't look like much from the road, and being at the edge of traffic, the burro team made me feel like it has done it's best to make you feel relaxed and secluded with the Flora at the cafe's periphery and overall design!!
In general, the vibe is really relaxed and laid back. Good vibes with the music and the service is really attentive and respectful! They give you enough space, they don't push to make sales (for example, when you have 50ml in your glass: do you maybe want another wine/beer/cocktail?!) and all in all, they make sure that you are enjoying yourself!
Other than that, the food is spot on! Relative to our times and really tasty. On top of that, it also looks super delicious 🤤 The "el BFC pancakes 🥞" was a showstopper (el Burro Fried Chicken) and it was amazing!! The chicken was nicely fried till crispy, juicy and yummy! Adequately seasoned and a generous side of Maple Syrup!
The Chicken Teriyaki Sando was CRAZY DELISH!! Pillowie soft milk bread slices with the amazing Crispy Chicken, caramelized onions //the right way// , excellent homemade pickled cucumbers and a very tasty sauce to bind everything together!
Both were presented beautifully 🙂
For a nice Bruch with a nice bunch, I highly recommend this place 🍗🥞🍞🥪
Looking forward to eat...
Read moreResponse to respond to update: We visited you first when pancakes were 8-9€, we tried to check the price last year but most could not accurately recover it, old pictures don't show up, but found the 10€ menu - so, we may stuck in the past apologies - Overpriced is of course a subjective expression of a gap between anticipated resource cost and Delivered product, here I was hoping for more Greek yogurt (than toppings) here - evidence from this year showed it is possible for 6€ but it's narrow-minded: I don't want to dictate your prices and calculation - I'm just putting this into relation from personal exp; this is not an offense we still like your place (except the loud music:)
Update 2023: prices have matured here as well, now I classify it as overpriced too, the pancakes are now at 12€ from already increased 10€ in 2022, the Greek yogurt with a disappointing amount of yogurt (almost just as much as you get as toppings like cereals) takes 9€, same applies to rather easy foods like sandwiches or eggs - together with the spread mykonos sickness of putting loud music - I will not visit this place too often anymore
Old review: Very good breakfast, very good value for money, kind and friendly staff - one of the best places for breakfast on mykonos - not...
Read moreFood is decent, but our waiter is VERY rude.
Normally I don't want to write bad review for business, since I know how hard it is to run a restaurant, but the waiter is so mean and I don't want anyone else being treated like this.
We saw the waiter serving a cup of water to other tables, and we asked for the same. The waiter explained it's only for customers who order beverages. After we ordered our drinks, the waiter refused to give us water and said "Water is only for locals, not for tourists" - I was totally shocked by his response, since I haven't run into someone as rude in a while. Now my memories for Mykonos are ruined cuz I can't forget how rude the waiter is, and I would hesitate to visit again because I don't want to be discriminated against just because I'm a tourist :(
Update on 10/6: Thank you for your reply! I did order curcumin latte and mocha, but the waiter refused to give us water and said "it's not for tourists" - this is why we feel we were...
