Porto Bello Design Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Nafplio

The hotel is not bad although you have to climb many stairs and cannot access it by car, you need to leave your car somewhere quite abandoned. The room was large with a good terrace although a bit old. Downtown was close and nice. ||||The owner, when we told her that something serious came up and that we will stay 1 night instead of 2, she charged me for two nights and then SHE LIED BOOKING THAT WE WERE A NO SHOW, THAT WE NEVER SHOWED UP. She did this to avoid paying to Booking and to avoid a not so.good review. And that was a LIE, we stayed there for one night and paid for the second night, too.||Booking, however, called me and asked me what the truth is. They kept investigating and eventually they discovered that the owner lied. They put the trip back to my account, to my list of trips and allowed the review. ||||Very bad to lie that the customer never showed up when they did!||||Her response to my Booking review was that she should have called the police (!!!) when I did nothing but paid her the entire vacation and she lied that we didn't show up. ||||Too bad that we had to have this experience and spoil the wonderful things of the town. I am sure there are other places much...

Very very awful. We wanted to book a room there and they just cancelled it all the time because they thought that we need a booking just to get a visa or something like that. Because we are from UKRAINE. After we sent our German visa and tried to make them clear that we just planning to go for a vocation the stuff proceed to talk very rude and refused to accept our booking.

Or they really too scared because of other people or they hate Ukrainians.

I couldn’t find the direct contact to management but I will never reccimend this place to someone.

We had a fantastic vocation time in the beautiful Greece. Not in this hotel ofc. We had no problems with tourist police whatsoever because we didn't try to scam anyone. I hope that it helped some of those who read this review to avoid the place with such a discriminative service and judging people for their nationality....

Excellent overall. We stayed in the the room named ''New York''. This is the Superior Family Room with Sea View and Panoramic View. It was very clean and tidy. The amenities were the ones mentioned. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning, and worth paying the extra money to stay for the particular room. Breakfast was very good. It is located almost at the top of the old town, hence the beautiful view. This comes with the cost of having to climb a few steps, but the owners warn in the description. This is a family run business and everybody were very helpful. For example, we arrived quite late at night, parking was a nightmare at that particular time and the owner offered to find us a parking spot with his motorbike. I wouldn't hesitate...
