My husband and I decided to eat here after discovering it's quiet location. I'm a Greek American, and it makes me proud to say that after eating here: Greek hospitality was at its finest! The portions were massive (as an American, I was impressed), the food was top quality, and the service was American-esque (in the best way!). They were very knowledgeable about their own food and the specials for the day. I would have gladly ordered everything off the menu! The horta was divine, as was the warmed bread, tuna steak, retsina, and moussaka. The servers were attentive and kind. The one we had looked like a Disney prince! My partner and I ordered rooster cooked in wine, veal with eggplant, a sausage appetiser and a salad. The Rooster was dry and overcooked and came covered in far too much cheese with a sauce that did not taste of wine at all and as far as I could tell, consisted mostly of barely cooked canned tomatoes. The Veal was a crime against food - it tasted like it had been cooked, frozen, reheated and then had the hell boiled out of it and the whole dish was swimming in oil. The salad was okay but the lettuce and spinach were not very fresh and had wilted a little. The sausage was fine, but nothing special. The wine was okay. Hands down most enjoyable restaurant in nafplio. I recommend anyone who's in nafplio to visit this place. Portions are massive, but not in a nasty way, and the food is just tasty. If your lucky enough they have the sea pasta with a fresh lobster to add to the dish. Fantastic and amazing.

I have been to nafplio many many times and this is the only place I spend my money on tavern food. Not for souvlakia!

Waiters and staff are helpful and polite and are just great people. Tip them! They deserve it. Opened a few new locations since 2 years ago and every stop is same quality!
