Sokaki Cafe — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

We came here for breakfast and it was such a waste of money.

We got the breakfast with the omelette and there were eggshells in it. There was a fruit salad accompanying it and the selection of fruit was truly disappointing. It’s summer and we got served banana, apple and kiwi :| what happened to all the summer fruit in season you know?! And the server was disappointed when we asked to pick it up along the rest of the dishes. Yes food waste is bad, but so was that fruit salad. We got the eggs with bacon. I left one bacon there in case someone in the kitchen notices how bad and inedible it was. You could throw it at a rock and it d hit as hard as stone.

Butttt the epitome was the crepe with chocolate. You know… if you get a freshly cooked crepe and you let it sit for a bit it gets soggy from all the moisture right? Well this one was the exact opposite :) the dough was so hard in texture our knife could not cut through it!!!

So we paid 40€ and left in disappointment. Standard bread (a known brand from super market) 1 slice of it cut in half to create two slices, eggs and 4 cherry tomatoes cut in half… The waiters were very friendly and polite but the food was...

We went to Sokaki every day during our 3 day trip to Nafplio. We loved this cute cafe situated on the square, perfect for resting and people watching after walking in the town. Be it the drinks, food, or cepes, everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend their burger and pizza when you need a break from souvlaki and fish in Greece. Nous avons déjeuné en famille mercredi 24 avril 2024 : peu de monde en cette periode, nous n’avons pas été ignorés, au contraire le serveur nous a rapidement présenté les menus. Avec la bière nous avons eu un petit paquet de Chips. Nous avons été copieusement servis, les plats étaient délicieux : nous avons pris 1 entrée hoummous avec pita (ça m’a servi de repas car part généreuse), 1 salade grecque fraîche et délicieuse et 2 sandwichs saumon avocat servis avec des potatoes (ce n’est pas précisé sur le menu qu’il y avait un accompagnement), on a été repus ! On s’est régalés et nous sommes exigeants donc je recommande fortement cette adresse. Les ingrédients étaient frais et faits maison. Nous avons un peu attendus pour être servis (un peu seulement) car justement tout est fait à la main et maison . C’était vraiment frais et copieux, nous avons été agréablement surpris car pour les sandwichs, c’était présenté comme un vrai plat. Au moment de régler, le serveur nous a offert une assiette d’un dessert local : une boule de glace (au miel je pense) et une grosse part de gâteau (genre cake au pain d’épice orangé). Nous n’avions vraiment plus faim car nous nous étions régalés avec tout le repas et sommes désolés de n’avoir pu faire honneur à ce cadeau , c’était vraiment gentil quand même !
