Date of attendance: 27/30 September 2024.|Purpose: Tourism. |I picked to stay at this hotel for its location within the city of Thessaloniki. Its position provides a short walk the following areas:|Sea front promenade, where HS Velos, a ship museum is currently docked.|The White Tower.|The archaeological museums (one of Thessaloniki, the other being the Byzantine Museum).|The modern war museum.|The main tourist excursion pickup point at the statue of Eleftherios.|(Day visit to Pella and Vergina)|The Rotunda.|The Holy Church of Saint Demetrius.|The Allied Military Cemetery on Lembet Road. |There was so much more to see but I simply ran out of time.|The hotel itself was very good value. It is an older building with lots of character well maintained, clean and the staff were welcoming. My party stayed in rooms 303 and 305. Room 303 was a twin bed corner room and room 305 a double room. The fixtures and fittings were new and the beds were comfortable. |The breakfast was a mixture of hot/cold food, cereal options, tea, coffee and fruit juice was also available.|Outside the hotel is a very busy road, both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. That said, I didn’t have a problem falling asleep. |The question is, would I stay...
Read moreThe website states that this is a 4-star hotel and that there is free parking. The free parking is on the street and we got a 40 Euro ticket for no apparent reason. The carpets in the hallways and the entryway are filthy. Theyl are not necessarily worn they're just dirty. The grout cracks in the bathroom tiles look mildewy with the pink and black mildew. The breakfast is mediocre at best. We observed the staff dusting off the placemats rather than cleaning them and laying down fresh silverware where previous patrons silverware had been moments before. The cucumbers on the first morning were obviously left over from the previous day and the food selection is more than a little Limited and most of the food was stalle the bread products were not fresh ...The bed in the room that we had was so hard it hurt our hips by the second day. The sheets on the bed are counfounding at best, and P.S.
I would rate this hotel at no more than a two?stars. Do not book this hotel it is bad ,and will ruin...
Read moreMaybe it was a 4 star hotel in 1980. The room looked terrible, all of the furniture is old and on the verge of breaking, the bed was two singles put together with a big lump in the middle of course where the mattresses meet (we booked a double bed) the mattress was VERY unconfortable, there is only air conditioning in the lobby and in the rooms, not on the elevator and not on the hallway, when you get into the elevator you sweat instantly because you go from 19 degrees celsius in the lobby to like 46 degrees in the elevator, also the elevator was very old and when you step into it it goes like 5 cm down, you feel like you are dropping for a second, not so safe. Everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING in the room is OLD and worn out. The windows are not soundproof at all so you hear every car that passes by, if you're a light sleeper like I am then you will definitely not sleep there. DEFINITELY NOT A 4...
