Fanari vista suites — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

We were impressed by the view outside our room and the room looks exactly like the pictures in their website. There were amenities in the bathroom together with the bathrobe as well. The drinks in the fridge is free and there are some snacks for free too. The stairs to the Old Harbour is just outside of the hotel. It is within walking distance to everything in Fira! Lots of restaurants, cafes, shops et... It is also within walking distance to The Three Bells and Skaros Rock. We dipped in the jacuzzi for our sunset view on our first night there.||||The room booking comes with free breakfast. It was simple breakfast and yet very fulfilling. And we were impressed that they served the breakfast exactly at the indicated timing. We also ordered from the restaurant for dinner (20% off for hotel guests), both the mussels and grilled sea bream were impressive. The texture of both dishes was just nice. Oh forgot to mention that we were served Welcome drink (wine or beer) with a local snack! (refer to the photo)||||The staff were very friendly and always try their best to accommodate. Shoutout to Dimos who served us our breakfast and the dinner that I ordered from the restaurant. He was super friendly and reminded us that the weather will be windy. He carried our heavy luggage to the bus terminal (with a fee) for us to catch our bus to airport although I made the request quite last minute. Rather bizarre design of rooms as built into cliff edge so, essentially, they’re caves. ||Bizarre bathrooms. ||Breathtaking views. ||Only eight (I think) rooms so very boutique. Appears to be owned by the restaurant above.||Flakey/no internet service for a few days. Affected all rooms. Eventually fixed. ||Athina is the first room you come to and has a small outdoor spa but no real privacy.||The aircon made sporadic awful noises during night and so they moved us to a larger room, which was appreciated. |(Another couple were moved into this room later that day. And then they moved the following day too).||Woken up early in the morning from the restaurant setting up above. Although, to be honest, the donkeys outside woke us up most mornings first (which is a kinda funny life experience).||The two guy staff members were very friendly and helpful if you needed anything.||Breakfast was delivered to the rooms each morning around 9am and it was a pleasure to sit out on your small outdoor area eating while taking in the spectacular view.||Restaurant upstairs gives residents 20% discount. This was an absolutely fabulous stay. Perfect location, easy access to restaurants and shops nearby, but also a great location for getting to the Oia (we did the hike, which we highly recommend) and for transporting down to the Red Beach, where we did a Catamaran tour, and of course to the port for catching a Ferry. |We stayed in room Maria, which was a large clean room that the cleaning staff kept spotless and well stocked with clean slippers, towels, etc. |We loved the balcony, got great use of the hot tub, and the views were spectacular. |Thanks to Dimos and Stavroula (hope I spelled your names correctly) who really made our stay at Fanari something special. They were incredibly nice and super helpful. They also made and served a large excellent breakfast each morning that was perfect for starting the day.
