Lithos — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Ordered 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes and a bottle of wine. Wine came in the glass container and no bottle was shown to us. The appetizers came and not even after 5 min we got the main dishes. There was not even space to put the dishes on the table! You can see it in the picture. We ordered a mixed grilled of fish (there was a picture of it in the menu) and what came was different so we asked why the mussels and shrimps were not present. The waitress came with the menu saying what we were mistaken and what was in the pic was clearly lemons and not mussels, while trying to hide the picture from us. She said "why are you complaining it's big enough for 2 people". The wine we order was 750ml and she brought only 500ml saying that she would bring the other half later in order for it to be fresh. When I said I ordered 750ml and not 1 liter she told me she would ask the kitchen and come back. She came back with another 500ml (again in the glass container) saying this was "on the house" for the inconvenience. We got the bill and the price of the wine was entirely on the bill so we paid for it. Only good point is that the view is very nice. The quality of food is not worth the price except for...

Went to this amazing restaurant in Fira where the sunset views over the Caldera were breathtaking. We started off with the 3 appetizers that Santorini is known for…one was the cheese with honey and sesame that we could not get enough of. The 2nd was the Tomato Pancakes which was delicious. The tomatoes from this island are extra sweet. And 3rd was the Fava with Pita which had the consistency of hummus, but tasted better. We also ordered a Greek Salad to share that tasted great. Dinner consisted of Grilled Octopus that was quite tender, a whole white snapper fish that was delicious and fresh Sea Bass caught that morning that was very tasty. Our very nice servers helped select 2 bottles of local white wine that complimented our meals and was very good. We ended the meal with Baklava & ice cream that was big enough for 2 and was amazing. The servers were very attentive during our meal and even provided a birthday brownie and sang happy birthday. It did get a bit chilly in the evening and the server provided blankets. All in all, it was a truly exceptional experience with phenomenal food....

We were taken to Lithos by NCL shore excursion - ultimate Santorini for “lunch” at the end of the tour at 6pm.

The Lithos has a nice view, good ambiance, with pretty decent reviews on Google, at the point of writing the rating was 4 with 377 reviews. However, the food that was presented to us were disappointing. Lunch started with a choice of glass of red or white wine, a salad, the main course was grilled chicken drumstick & ended with yogurt.

Unfortunately the food failed to impress, the salad was tasteless, the grilled chicken drumsticks was dry but the potatoes was really good!

Seeking redemption & with the great experience we just had with Thalami, we ordered the grilled shrimp & octopus our own expenses, the grilled shrimp lacked the just plucked from the Aegean freshness one hopes for, and the grilled octopus erred on the side of chewy than tender, on top of that the young guy was less than friendly.

This review is of my personal experience & point of view. I remain hopeful the team at Lithos can deliver great food & service to the tourists...
