Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? My boyfriend and I arrived in Santorini in October with no specific plans other than to wander and soak up the local culture. After visiting two other Greek islands, our expectations were modest; we weren't quite sure what to expect from Santorini beyond the snippets we had seen on social media and various travel websites. It’s often challenging to determine what truly stands out based on online reviews alone. Upon our arrival at Irene City Villas, we were warmly welcomed by you, Liza, one of the hotel receptionists. Right from the start, your friendliness and sense of humor made us feel completely at home. While we waited for our room, we chatted about our plans for our time in Santorini. When you learned that we didn’t have many arrangements in place, you jumped right in to help! You went above and beyond—making dinner reservations, booking us a fantastic boat tour to explore the island, and sharing countless insider tips about local attractions. Remarkably, none of the restaurants you recommended were on my original list, but I was thrilled to follow your advice. Having lived on the island for 19 years, your knowledge and passion truly made our trip. One of your suggestions, Salt and Pepper, was an absolute gem! This charming, authentic restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife team—the husband in the kitchen and the wife serving. We had such a delightful experience there; just a note for future visitors: definitely call ahead to make a reservation! The owner likes this. In short, I believe Liza deserves all the praises. If anyone at Irene City Villas is reading this, please consider giving her a well-deserved promotion, raise, or bonus. She played a pivotal role in making our trip to Greece unforgettable, and we can’t stop talking about how she was one of our highlights during our visit. That speaks volumes! Liza, we miss you and can’t thank you enough for everything!

What a fabulous week in Santorini made special by our stay at Irene City Villas! A really well situated boutique hotel, 10 minutes walk to the centre of Fira. A small hotel, 7 rooms in total. We stayed in a ground floor superior room, which was a good size with an outdoor hot (warm) tub over looking the small pool area. Our room was serviced every day, by lovely staff, everything was always spotless, inside and out. New towels and bathrobes replenished daily. Rooms are tastefully decorated with a good size, very comfy bed! The shower was great with good water pressure. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast was brought every morning at our chosen time and was always good with a selection of food and drinks to choose from. Everyone who works here and the owner were so pleasant, helpful, kind and welcoming offering restaurant suggestions, places to visit, booking us an horse riding experience and even giving us gifts! They go above and beyond. I would 100% recommend Irene City Villas. Thank you for making our stay in beautiful Santorini super special. ❀

This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life. We had the chance to stay in the Superior Suite II, which was spacious, luxurious, and perfectly equipped. The location was ideal—just steps away from the main town of Fira while still offering peace and comfort. The breakfast service was out of this world. You simply fill out a form with your choices, and they bring a beautifully prepared breakfast right to your room at your preferred time—an incredible way to start each day. The staff made our stay unforgettable. Emi and Kostas at the reception were exceptional hosts—always available, helpful, and full of wonderful recommendations for activities, beaches, and restaurants that truly enhanced our time in Santorini. Artemis, who runs the souvenir shop, was the sweetest local I’ve ever met and made us feel so welcomed. Look no further than Irene City Villas if you want the best hotel experience in Santorini. Here you’ll find luxury, convenience, comfort, and the warmest hospitality all in one place.

I can only echo what the other reviewers have said: this place is awesome. It’s very close to Fira city center (5 minute walk) and it has a mini market right next to it which is so convenient. The staff is amazing and so friendly, you feel at home even though you’re not. Yannis helped us with so many restaurant reservations and renting scooters and you can book a thousand other things here too which I would recommend because they will do everything to help you! The Petite Suite II had everything we needed including AC and of course the jacuzzi on the balcony which is the best thing ever. Also you can choose your breakfast every morning and it gets delivered on time to your door by super friendly people, the cleaners are also really nice. The TV has Netflix access which is also great for when you just want to chill in the room for a couple hours (the model is a bit dated and the speaker isn’t that great but it definitely does the job :D). Also the shower is literally an entire room which was so nice! If I went to Santorini again I would definitely book this hotel again....
