My friend and I decided to book a room at Join Us for our last night in Santorini (since it was close to the airport and they claimed to offer a shuttle service to and from). We arrived in the evening, ready to relax and enjoy our last night before flying home, to find the place was completely empty - lights shut off and nobody there to check us in. There was simply a note on the door that said reception hours were 8 am to 4 pm. This is completely understandable, as we came in the off season. However, NOBODY bothered to inform us of this upon booking the hostel. There was no way for us to know this. ||||My friend and I tried calling the owner several times, with no response. We also emailed the hostel that night, still no response (even to this day, about a month later). ||||Having no other choice, we had to take a taxi back to Fira to spend the night. This place still charged us for the night, even though we weren't able to stay. I am very disappointed with this experience and highly regret booking this place for our last night in Santorini. Definitely would not recommend this place. Completely...
Read moreThanks to Aris who welcomed us very nicely. ||We were invited to join a second building where he lives with his family and we had a room with a beautiful balcony and a magic view ! Right on the left side of Kamari, just under the cliff. ||Room was very clean, bathroom well equipped and comfortable. Fresh bottle of water waiting for us in the fridge !||We advise you to inform before your arrival so Aris will come at the bus station to pick you up. The rooms are really close to the Kamari beach station.||We even receive a small bottle of wine the night before our departure !||This is definitely above a low cost rental ! It was a really good...
Read moreHad a great time staying at these lodgings. Room was fine and suited my needs especially as I was pretty much out exploring all day, was clean, well ventilated with air con and a nice little balcony with a good view of Kamari beach. Decent location too with Kamari beach just a stones throw away, also good transport links in terms of the bus right in the heart of Kamari. There was also the delightful Olive Oil restaurant downstairs with great food (i would highly recommend the Tzatziki and Moussaka!!) The owner Ari was a nice guy as well, very friendly and willing to help with any enquiries when needed. Thank you for a very...
