From the moment we stepped foot on the property, the staff made us feel warm and welcome. Check in was fast and we were given a tour of the property on the way to our room. Be prepared to take a lot of steps! Our room was super clean and elegant, well appointed and very comfortable. The only complaint might be the lack of hooks to hang a towel outside the shower, but that was a minor inconvenience. Breakfast daily was included and it was delicious and served pool side overlooking the ocean! The service staff was very attentive, pleasant and treated us so well we did not want to leave at the end of the week! Try the eggs benedict and definitely have the daily bread basket! Dinner at the hotel restaurant was spectacular. Dining under the moon light with the warm ocean breezes wafting over us was wonderful and the food was incredible. A local wine was recommended on our first night and we spent the rest of the week ordering it! Selene Rose is outstanding. Our room was cleaned everyday and every night there was a turn down service that included a fresh bottle of water and chocolates! Our patio had a very nice bench and chair with table and umbrella as well as a small cabana we used a couple of times to soak up the sun! The hotel pool was not large and very cold but once in, very refreshing. The hotel location is perfect for touring Oia. Is not too far to walk there and a car to Thira is only about a 15-20 minute drive away. The front desk was always super helpful in getting a car arranged for us. We also tried the spa and had a couples massage. Wonderful! It put me to sleep! | There is eye candy everywhere you look. The gleaming white buildings and blue roof tops of the local churches are amazing as is the view of the entire ocean area. We hope to someday return and will definitely come back to this hotel. Thank you for making our dream vacation a true...
Read moreThere are not many entrances to a hotel in the world like that at KK. Gives me goosebumps just writing this. The design and layout of the hotel, the way the rooms are basically 5 star caves, the refinement of the decor, the bright whiteness of all the stone, everything is impeccable. And then you add to that the service... The team literally cannot do enough for you. Example, we wanted to buy a particular bottle of Greek brandy so I texted the concierge on WhatsApp (all guests have this service and they are unbelievable). I got an immediate reply, Christos, the F&B manager was on the case. 20 minutes later he came to me, in person, on my day bed to give me an update. A couple of hours later they had found a supplier (their supplier didn't have it), they called the shop, told them we were coming and then gave us directions. This epitomizes their service ethos. Elisabetta, the sommelier, asking if we wanted our last glass of wine from the bottle in our room, she then brought everything to us. Ricky sincerely telling Louise how wonderful she was looking when we went out in the evening, I could go on - the service here is absolutely world class. I have already thanked the hotel but want to do so here with this review to recognise the culture Leo and his team have built. ||I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world and stay at some of its best hotels and this was the absolute best. We are so grateful for the 5 days we had with everyone. Shout out to Athena, Fernandes and Bill as well for their...
Read moreWe booked the wet junior suite for our honeymoon and we were really looking forward to it, but the hotel did not quite meet expectations. the best part of the hotel is the staff. The staff are incredibly courteous, friendly, and accommodating - no problems there. The room also had a patio with incredible views! However, the jetted "hot tub" in the junior suite could only be heated to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. By American standards....this just isn't a hot tub and a little bit of false advertising on their part. We would have probably booked the nicer suite with a pool and a cabana lounger had we known the hot tub wasn't a hot tub. Furthermore, there was just a myriad of quality issues with our room. First, the safe broke and we had to walk around with a key to it. Second, the lock to the front door of our room came clear off when we tried to unlock it and we were locked in our room for a few minutes before a maintenance guy could come and get us out. Third, our room phone didn't work and had to be repaired when we first arrived. Finally, we booked a massage that had to then be rescheduled when they accidentally double booked us (get the massage if you go, they are amazing)
In my opinion, these things just can't be happening at a hotel to be considered a five star hotel. If I were going to Santorini again, I'd probably look at a...
