Mountain and Sea Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

We really enjoyed our stay at Mountain and Sea Suites. Everything is really new, clean, the breakfast was lovely, the area is perfect and is super close to the mountain as well as the beach, the pool is very nice and the whirlpool in the room was also a highlight. The family that runs this hotel is extremely lovely and they did everything to make our stay super memorable. One example of this was that we arrived at a very awkward time (5:15 AM) and even though usually the checkin is only from the afternoon we were greeted by them and they gave us two towels and a blanket to lie by the pool until the sun went up. That was such a lovely gesture and we will feel forever grateful for this because we had nowhere else to go at that hour.

The breakfast was lovely and there was a big choice of things you could fill in with a paper the day before until 11pm. The beach towels were amazing and the room was cleaned so well on a daily basis. We even got new towels daily even though that was not necessary for us at all (that’s the only little minus I would give because that is not so environmentally friendly - I suggest only anything on the floor to be switched out :) ). One other lovely feature is that for the day of check out they have a toilet incl showers by the pool so you can check out and still hang out by the pool until you have to leave. Only extra small suggestion I would make is to add a few more hooks or towel rails in the bathrooms as well as balconys in order to hang and dry towels :)

Our family of four had a very special stay at this wonderful family hotel. ||From check-in to our final day, the service was attentive and warm and they made every effort to make our young children feel welcome. ||The breakfasts were wonderful; a different meal offered every day with plenty of variety for all tastes.||The hotel is perfectly located: a 3 minute walk to Kamari Beach but set back in a quiet spot, away from the busyness of the main strip of bars and restaurants.|The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed - the perfect place to unwind.|The poolside was very comfortable with beds and sun loungers and each room comes with an outdoor hot tub.||The hotel was exceptionally clean. If we could give this hotel more than 5*'s, we would! We've been staying here for our wedding along with 4 other couples and the service from the hotel has been outstanding. From the many months of communication and emails ensuring everything was set up for our arrival to being here, they could not have done any more. They have made our wedding and holiday amazing! The breakfast is vast, all freshly prepared and presented elegantly, the pool is tranquil with plenty of loungers and the rooms are modern and clean with a lovely hot tub on the balcony. Great bar area at reasonable prices for shade during the day. Kamari is a brilliant location hub, plenty of local shops and restaurants where our wedding party (40) has been able to enjoy privately and together.
