There must be two owners here. I see reviews of a nice, friendly owner. I see reviews of a grumpy owner. I got the Mr. Grumpy! Yey!
I meet a new person, I try to be jolly and happy. All Mr. Grumpy did was make me feel like I was a bother. He kept complaining about how low my rate was since I booked so far back. Dude! Are you new here? That’s how the travel and hospitality industry works!
As it was, price is still high, but that’s Santorini for you.
I got Villa 1. The kitchen is so bad, it’s hilarious. There is an exhaust fan, BUT THERE IS NO TUBE GOING OUT! The fan vents the air up and into the cabinet in the kitchen. It stays inside the unit! I wouldn’t believe it myself if I hadn’t seen it!
The stove is a portable stove you take from below the sink.
The balcony light is broken. We had to eat in the dark the first night. I talked to housekeeping the next day to ask to have it fixed. It was never fixed. Mr. Grumpy didn’t even bother to talk to me about it. We just had to eat dinner before sundown.
Beddings are as listed. The beddings seem to be forced to fit, though, to accommodate the headcount.
At check in, Mr. Grumpy showed me a clear notice not to use the towels for wiping the sunscreen since his washers can’t take the stain out. He will charge €7 for each damaged towel to replace them. Well, I saw my towels. They had stains. So he charges the guest, but doesn’t actually replace the towels. Dude, get better washers. That was a first indeed. I didn’t get charged, just to be clear.
Overall, I would not recommend. Two stars cover for the location (close to the beach and nice views of the mountains) and the good enough housekeeping. For the price, there are many many villas that are better. I would not...
Read moreThird trip. We are seasoned travellers but have returned to George’s personal hospitality dream once again to find an even brighter welcome; friendliest hospitality; very comfortable beds; stylish accommodation; glorious setting; lavishly refurbished rooms; excellent facilities and the top friendly service that is the Phevos signature. Close to all amenities if you can drag yourself away from the hospitable bar and amenities. 3 min walk to an amazing 24hr bakery, shop and many fabulous local restaurants and convivial bars that are fun without being too touristy. A family friendly boutique apartment block, family run and the repeat custom alone speaks volumes. Most impressive, hard-working Hellenic charm and a fine vantage point for the delights of this...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our time at Phevos Villas. We loved thr location, staying in Perissa was perfect for us. Not too busy at all, close to the beach, (good spot to run along the waterfront) and close to a nice hike over the mountain to a near by town Kamari. Mr George was warm and friendly, he gave us information on places to visit. The rooms were always immaculate every day we came home after our adventures. The swimming pool was a perfect spot if you didn't want to head too far away. Wifi was very fast It has the added option of breakfast but we didn't utilise it.
The bar was open for most of the day/night with very reasonably priced beers, wine...
